She's listening to everything he says, but she doesn't answer. Not yet. Because her first response is to contradict him. Which is silly. Perhaps it's because she's so used to the Doctor just ignoring her, seeing through her, or otherwise underestimating her. Perhaps it's because she feels like school was necessary and relatively expected of her.

Either way, it's nice to hear him say his pretty compliments, though her eyes snap open when he calls her beautiful and she looks embarrassed. "You'd think differently after seeing me in the OR..."

Covered in blood and body fluids. Smelling like a hospital and that almost dead smell. Wearing scrubs. No one ever looked good in the OR.
