Hello, ToS community! My name is Chels, and I'm another newbie coming in this round! I'm friends with Ryah (who has said all sorts of charming things about you all ♥), so I'm going to give this a go, even if panfandom is not my normal scene. /nerves&things

ANYWAY, I'm bringing in a post-canon (Fire Lord) Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender (TV show, not the movie, which obvs Did Not Happen). He goes through a lot of ~character development~ and is basically a big walking spoiler, but to be specific (to anyone who is familiar with the series), he is from roughly halfway through The Promise comics, shortly after visiting his father in the Fire Nation prison. Angst angst angst daddy issues angst mommy issues angst.

Some brief background facts:

• 17 years old
• Is a FIREBENDER. :D Basically, he can manipulate fire and heat. He can also redirect lightning, but unlike some other firebenders (such as his cray sister and kooky uncle), he cannot actually bend lightning himself. He is also MADSKILLED with twin broadswords.
• Grew up as crown prince and has been the Fire Lord (king, ruler, w/e) for a year now, attempting to redeem the Fire Nation p much by himself...His father and grandfather and great-grandfather kind of screwed things up with the whole "we're gonna CONQUER THE WORLD, mwahahaha!" stint.
• Was banished by his jerk father when he was just 13 years old, just because he had the gall to speak ~out of turn~ like "hey guys, maybe we SHOULDN'T use our own soldiers as meat shields..." His father was the one who gave him the (very conspicuous) burn scar on his face. Such rude, so harshness, wow.
• Used to be very, VERY angry at pretty much everyone and everything and himself and the WORRRRLD, but he grew up a lot during the show; he still has a temper on him, but he's found a lot of peace in learning to live for himself and not for some obsession to win his father's elusive love. He's obsessed with his MIA Mama (parent issues alert, parent issues alert), but there's not really much he can do about that here, so dwi Zuko.
• Can be a little rough around the edges when it comes to straightforwardness/tempers/etc. but sincerely means well.

Already posted my PPP here, and although I don't have a Plurk yet, I'm currently getting the lowdown, soooo I might set one up. If so, I'll edit it in. I'm looking forward to meeting and playing with everyone! (Also, looks like we're roomies, Captain America!)

Cool! Aileen is mostly a character exclusive to the comics, so you'll only really find her if you decide to read those. Seth's from Lost Odyssey, a sorta obscure jrpg.

And yesss, you definitely found an AtLA fan in me! I'm mostly around with Korra and sometimes Asami these days, but I do have journals for Uncle Iroh and Mai.

Hello Xae! :DDDDDD Zuko's my favorite, too...which is really saying something, because I swear I love pretty much every character on that show so much. It's uncommon for me to dislike characters, but it's also uncommon for me to love all of them as deeply as I love the AtLA ensemble, be it protagonists or antagonists or those in between. But man, am I a sucker for a redemption arc.....

Also PADME, my love burns strong~! Mmmm Star Wars. Ahsoka and Leia crossed my mind in the character-debating process, even if I settled on Zuko for now. The Skywalker family (and by attachment-extension, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka) is my drug.

Yes, this. I agree with all of this completely. I enjoy putting on the show in the background all the time. Everyone should have love for this show.

Both would be awesome. Padmé would love to meet her daughter or see Ahsoka again. So I encourage either of them for the future.

I didn't really know AtLA existed until this year, oops, but obsession hit me pretty hard once my friend finally convinced me to watch it. Azula is terrifyingly awesome, so good choice. Nice to meet you, though, Rosa, and woohoo for a Tony Stark mama! I look forward to playing with you too~
