He probably shouldn't have drank as much as he did. One thing the regeneration failed to cure was the void often left behind after a heavy night of drinking, which was exactly what had happened if the throbbing pain in his head was any indication.

Barely conscious, Caius began the grueling task of piecing things together when he realised he wasn't in the bed by himself. Slowly, his eyes blinked open and it was then he noticed the long hair spread across a naked back.

The immortal eased a little higher up and scratched his head, giving a sigh in consideration of whether to wake her.

She felt the figure beside her stirring and paused to lean up on her arm, glancing behind her at her bedmate. The drink had been too strong, too quick acting. Her head was still swimming, an aching behind her eyes.

How was it she managed to find herself in this situation when she was normally so careful. Margaery pushed her hair back, giving a small smile.

"Good morning."

Now the evening was coming back to him, and a smile curled at the corners of his lips as one hand moved to prop his head up a little more.

He hummed dangerously. Hey, waking up to a gorgeous woman in his bed was definitely a good morning, indeed.

“Hey,” he replied, blinking those impossibly blue eyes at her. “Sleep well?”

His eyes managed to cause her heart to skip a beat. A flush spread across her cheeks as she brushed her hair back from her face. He was in a good mood, at least. It would have been a great disappointment to wake up to someone who regretted the previous night.

"I did," she said, not bothering to pull the sheet up about her to preserve modesty. There was no point when he was lying at her side.

"Though I am not certain we slept overly long."

No, she was probably right, and Caius - now remembering more and more of the night before - showed his agreement with her statement with a coy little smirk. If there was any suspicion that he might have had regrets, she could be rest assured there were none. It was rare he even had them in the first place.

A hand lifted from the space between them, and reached to slip the sheet down lower off her hip and gently smoothed back up her side.

"Are you tired?" he asked, voice low and still raspy from not being used for a time. If she wasn't right then Caius had some ideas that might help urge her more towards it.

"Not at all," she murmured, moving closer into his touch. Her skin raising goosebumps under the caress. "Though I feel...well used."

She reached out and brushed strands of hair to the side, repaying the tenderness with tenderness of her own. Whatever ideas he had, she shared them. Nights of passion were delicious, even if they were under the influence. However, she would enjoy the actual memories even more.
