[ Isaac isn't sure what to make of this place at all. Under all that suspicion and confusion, he can't help but feel relieved that for once, the lingering feeling of something watching you, creeping along in your shadow isn't there. There's no noises overhead, no surprises to be had (yet) as he moves about. For once in what feels like too long, he can breathe easy and really take in what's around him without fear of what might catch him if he gets distracted.

At the sound of someone's voice - unfamiliar, which is no surprise - Isaac can't help the way he jerks in surprise. His head snaps towards the sound and for a second, he's not sure if he should run or stay. What makes the decision for him is the sound of movement in the box, the soft mewls that make their way towards him.

He relaxes after a few, long seconds before finally nodding and letting out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. ]

What gave it away?

There aren't a lot of us here. I would have recognized your face if you weren't new.

[She takes a moment to look back at the kitten, who's wriggling to be let go. She puts the little guy back into the box and selects another who was trying to pull herself out anyway. Then she looks back up.]

And if you weren't one of us, my next guess was that one of the candidates had invited you over. Anyway, I'm Christine.

[She holds out her hand.]

There are many things in life that are unfair, Miss. Or at least seem so, on the surface.

[ He nods in understanding, eyes following her hands as she settles the kitten back into the box in favor of picking up another. He tries to remember the last time he's seen something so harmless, so gentle and caring. He can't stop the way the corner of his lips twitch downward when he realizes it's been too long for him to really place.

He takes a step forward, reaching out to carefully take her hand in his own to give it a shake. He offers his best attempt at a warm smile (though admittedly, it's more wary than anything else). ]

I'm Isaac. [ He slips his hand away, eyes flicking towards the box of kittens. ] Are they all yours?

[hypospraying]

Isaac, hi. [She looks to the box and laughs.] I'm not that soft-hearted, no. I woke up and the box was here. I guess one of my roommates is the culprit. I don't know what they expect us to do with all these little furballs.

[She taps the nose of the one she's playing with, and the kitty bats at her hand.]

So, Isaac, how's Thurisaz treating you? Getting used to the place?

Oh. I'm right sorry to hear that, sir.

First things first, she kissed her, drawing just enough of her chi out to let it mingle with Bo's. After that, she started feeding it back until it was more Bo than Zoey's. She kept her hand over the wound in the girl's side, waiting until she could feel the stretch of her skin closing over it, before pulling back.

Her eyes glowed bright blue for a moment, before she glanced back at Kenzi -- or not -- with a frown. "Is that better?"

I take it that's not been your observation, then? [There's something odd about her. Like she hasn't shared the same experiences as the rest of the sentient beings in the galaxy.]

No, I reckon life ain't always fair for most folks.

[there's no way... Sam. In his workplace. He couldn't believe it. Aaaand he was shirtless.]

Dean. He works in a place where he must be shirtless during his shift.

[he had never been so happy to see his brother. After seeing him fall into the pit, a year with Lisa and Ben, and now here? This was the best thing ever.

Running over, not even caring about customers at this point, he pulled his brother into a hug.]

Uh...

[Big as he is, Dean's taken him by surprise and he gasps a little at the force of the hug. And at the surprise of being greeted so--last time he ran into Dean, it had been slow, lingering resentment. Or felt like it, anyway.]

You okay?

[he pulled away, a smile on his face, nodding]

Perfectly fine. Okay, well, not perfect. Being here sucks. But last time I saw you... you went into the pit.

How'd you get out?

I'll either get lucky, or I won't. It'll be just like home but less doom and gloom.

Oh.

[Sam glances away for a moment, swallowing.]

That... hasn't happened yet. I heard about it. But I was, ah, I got yanked out of our world right after you... right after I died. The first time, I guess.
