Tony Stark sat on his bedroom floor, back to the huge bed he shared with Pepper, an array of bottles and packets around him. Perhaps more striking was the blood seeping from a wound in his side, though he did not seem to be quite as concerned with it as with the emptiness of the bottle he was currently tipping upside down.

Neal wandered back into the room, planning on spending a quiet night with a book when he spotted a bleeding Tony. There went his quiet evening.

"What happened?"

[Blaine hadn't been planning to go out to the parade, or to get so drunk on the beer that was being passed around.

The crowd and the alcohol do nothing for his mood when he sees a familiar looking face among all of the strangers.]

Cooper?

[Neal doesn't respond at first. He's busy going through his mental list of aliases to see if he was ever a "Cooper."

Survey says: not so much. He glances back at Blaine and frowns.]

I'm sorry?

Cooper, is it you?

[He looks at Neal a little wide-eyed for a moment before getting closer]

Or do you just look like him?

The latter, I'm afraid.

[he really wishes he could be who this kid wanted him to be. "Cooper" sounded important.]

[Disappointment floods Blaine, and is clear on his face. Still, he tries to be polite.]

I think that's the goal, but I don't know when.

Pretty much. That and surviving being in a new world.

Well, the whole 'being in a new world' thing takes a second to get used to.
