Shipping Meme

Welcome to the ToS Shipping Meme! The rules are simple.
1. Post your character/preferences.
2. Reply to other characters with one of the following scenarios
3. Ship it!
Remember, this is just a fun meme so you can ship things that would NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY in game. Yay for no in-character consequences to bad decisions.
SCENARIOS
1. Stupid Cupid Your characters stumble upon a room in the lab in the The Administrative Tower. A mist is in the air, something to help releive stress and make work production much better. Your characters may be close friends, strangers, or sworn enemies. Whatever the case is, they are now suddenly and inexplicably in complete and total love. They may or may not be aware that this makes no sense, but they can't help themselves.
2. Some Like It Hot Forget love and new beginnings. Something strange must be in the drink supply. There's no stopping you, even if you tried. Whoever you find first is the lucky person. Will you make it to a bed or not is anyone's guess.
3. I Can Hear The Bells Your characters are getting married. Maybe it's true love, maybe it's to get out of marrying Tristan, maybe you're being forced into it and this ship is a little dub-con, or maybe it's because you accidentally participated in some Nysgod ritual and weren't aware of its implications. Either way, the wedding is about to happen or just has. How do you feel about that?
4. I Don't Want To Go Your character has been determined to NOT be the one for Tristan. Whether or not they like it, they're being sent home. Do they choose to spend it with a close friend, with the one they love? Or maybe, do they decide to finally tell that person they've always had a crush on just how they feel? You only have one night left, what you do with it is up to you.
5. The First Time Your characters are interested in each other and it's time to do something about it. Either the first date, the first kiss, the first I love you....or some other significant first. Whatever it is, it's definitely time to take that step. So who's going to take the initiative?
6. The Morning After Your characters definitely went at it. Maybe it's the first time, maybe they're cheating on someone, maybe it was out of anger. Whatever the case, for some reason, it was significant and you're going to have to talk about it. Good morning, Starshine! The earth says it's time for some cuddling and/or awkward conversation.
7.Fuck The Man Tired of the rules, tired of the work hours? Why do it? Why not grab someone you like or dislike and slam them down in the staff room of the work space. Or against a tree in the park. Or even the landlady's office. They may not like it but who cares. It's time to work out some stress.
8. Potpourri Have another idea? Pregnancy, proposal, accidental body contact, trapped together, caught in the rain, hurt/comfort, etc? Go for it! Make your own scenarios up and run with them.
[ I totally stole the source code off the old one and altered it for the new setting, so ALLLLLL credit goes to the mods.]
Gah... only fifteen icons and I have none of her flirty ones.
"I don't know that I'm a gem. Slightly tipsy perhaps, but the wine was so good..." Why is she selling herself short? Shut up Martha.
They reached her door and she turned to him... a little shy.
"Do you want to come in for a moment? I could put the kettle on."
Oh really?
"And tipsy you may be, but gem no less, so I repeat a shining tipsy gem." He chuckled a bit "It was indeed, I am glad you enjoyed it."
When she turned to him he nodded, the silliness vanished a bit, but he still looked happy.
"I would never turn down your company or tea."
... ... Thank you... That was really super nice and I'm sort of shocked... thank you
Martha peeks in the door first to make sure she didn't leave anything out. Finding the flat clean, she throws the door wide for Dorian to enter as well. She indicates a chair as she makes her way over to the kettle.
"Do you have a preference?" she calls out from the sink. "Earl Grey, Mint, Oolong, White..." she has a pretty impressive tea collection.
Your welcome~♥ I like playing account fairy when I can~
often. He loves seeing those he cares about happy, so he does try his best.He bowed his head in thanks, and pulled the hat from his head as he made his way inside. It was rude to keep it on in the lady's abode. Going to the chair he was directed too he took a seat and started to toy with the stitching of the hat.
"I am quite fond of the first two, either would be quite alright." He called back, eyes scanning around the room as he sat there.
Are we assuming they are in the Temple or in some other place?
Martha reached for the mint. Calming, no caffeine, better choice all around. With the leaves prepped and the kettle on the stove finally, she came back to the living room and kicked off her heels before sitting down. Martha stretched her toes out against the floor before then neatly tucking them up underneath herself.
Now that she had invited him in, she sort of lost all idea of what to talk about. She's not normally this nervous or even this demure. And now that she's waiting for the kettle to heat up, there's nothing to busy her hands with.
I would say yes just for sake of solo room~!
Had he not already sat down he might have gone over and put his hat and the sunglasses in inner jacket pocket on the skeleton just to be silly but he was seated and she had returned so he smiled softly.
"I did not quite expect your home to reflect your work." He spoke to breach a subject easily, his eyes now focused on her. She was after all the most stunning person to him at the moment.
Re: I would say yes just for sake of solo room~!
She looked around at the various posters. "They're comforting."
And then she wrinkles her nose.
"In a thoroughly non-creepy way of course."
Martha grins again. "I've also never been that good at interior decorating. Never had the time."
no subject
"Who am I to judge creepy?" He teased a little with a light smile. "Besides I like them. I feel this place feels very lived in. It is nice. I would have been shocked it if it was shockingly pink and full of flowers. This feels very you which, I like very much." Yes, he was trying to flirt. He was quite out of practice.
no subject
She grins as she says it. "Or Monet if you'd rather be traditional."
And then the kettle whistled. "Ah yes, the tea. I'll be right back."
Martha made her way into the kitchen and poured the water into a teapot with the leaves already in it. Placing the now full teapot onto a tray along with the the rest of her painfully British tea set, she carried it all in and set it down, waiting for the tea to steep just a bit longer.
She looked back up at the posters then. "It's too bad they're not the ones from home. I had written notes on them when I was in school. And one of them was signed by a guest lecturer."
no subject
He sat up more when she returned with the tea. his hat placed on the arm of the chair so he could lean forward on his knees as she brought the tea in.
"That sounds much more fascinating. You are the first person I know who has finished College at least that I speak too often so I admit to being horribly curious of these things. Mayhaps I just enjoy hearing you speak."
no subject
"She hates Warhol?" Martha doesn't have an opinion on him either way. "What makes her hate him?"
It's going to take a few more minutes for the tea to be ready. She opens the lid and inhales slightly. The mint is always so calming, and she can feel herself getting more and more nervous.
"No one else you've met has finished?" To her that's more shocking that it is that she finished.
"Well, there's not much to tell really. I spent a lot of time studying..."
no subject
"She is an artist, she does not find some of his works truly art." It was easy for him to talk about his female bff. She and he were pretty much Jake and Elwood Blues in his mind, they forever fight on whose Elwood. Dorian feels he has rights to it being taller and having side burns.
He offered her a soft smile when she inhaled the tea. She was adorable. "Oh my dear Martha, I am American, I lived in America, at worst in LA. The drop out rate is quite high." He explained before nodding. "It still says a lot about your drive at least to me."
no subject
"I don't know much about Warhol other than the pictures of soup cans we learned about in art history. Gosh, I don't even remember what year in school that was." She smiles gamely. "Perhaps you can teach me more about him sometime."
Martha's expression turns from flirtatious to somewhat confused when he mentions America schools. "Is it really so high? I mean, I know it's America, but I also know they have plenty of Universities. Harvard's not so bad. And our in California... isn't there Stanford?"
no subject
"I happen to have a lot of love for his art, my favorite is his paintings of Monroe, but considering I met her once that could really be what that is. She was a very sweet being." He spoke with a slight smile, though he smiled more watching Martha.
"It is likely not as bad as it seemed to me, but you should know I lived in what was considered the ghetto as it had gone considerably down hill over the last sixty years, so most of those in the area I lived either became drug dealers or low income types. I am not saying its not possible. It is. I may have met a few graduates and never knew it. I simply off the top of my head cant recall one. And I think Stanford is, I honestly can not recall."
no subject
She shakes her head at his mention of college and where he lived. "I'm sorry. It's a very different world than the one I come from. There are similar areas of London. Granted, my parents are still pretty impressed I made it through med school."
Martha leaned forward to finally pour the tea. She used a strainer, but even so, he'd get a few tealeaves in his cup. She was British, she didn't care about them that much. She indicated the sugar and milk as she poured her own. This time when she brought the cup to her face, her eyes closed as she took a sniff and her whole face relaxed. Tea made everything better.
no subject
"No reason to be, I loved where I lived, even when the area went to hell. The people were still reasonably nice to one another. I would have never traded it." He spoke with a simple nod. He could say nothing about the crime rate, he ran with the mob until Michael was killed. It was easy blood and easy money. "As they should be, you are a very diligent woman." He complimented.
Leaning forward to take some of the sugar, he didn't use the milk. He had long since quit using it since he grew love for coffee. All milk was for coffee now to him. He didn't even mind the leaves, he had been around for ages after all. Tea leaves were nothing new to him. "Thank you, Martha." he spoke simply looking at her and the way she closed her eyes. Taking a moment to be daring as he sat back with his own cup. "You are very beautiful." Looking relaxed with the tea and the dress and all.
no subject
Either way, it's nice to hear him say his pretty compliments, though her eyes snap open when he calls her beautiful and she looks embarrassed. "You'd think differently after seeing me in the OR..."
Covered in blood and body fluids. Smelling like a hospital and that almost dead smell. Wearing scrubs. No one ever looked good in the OR.
no subject
"I do not know about that." Considering what he is, and things he has done throughout the years to survive. "Considering in such a place you are saving lives, beauty is added for the blessings you give for another day of life to some." He spoke, but really. He didn't mind blood and body fluids as long as they were not on his sheets.
He finally took a drink of the tea however.
no subject
She takes another sip of tea.
"You... You're looking quite fit tonight I must say. Not that you don't always."
Smooth Martha. When had flirting become so difficult. She was used to flirting. She'd always been flirty. But it was rare for the man she was flirting with to be someone she was actually interested in. And for him to be interested back...
"You know, I'm so much better at this when we're running for our lives. Or something bad has happened. Or when the other guy isn't interested in me."
no subject
"I thank you, I would not exactly know. I lack a reflection." He sat the tea cup down and pushed up to move to sit beside her. Daring was his action tonight. "You are doing perfectly well in my opinion. Worry not, I am horribly out of practice as well."
I keep trying to find icons of her looking up...
"No reflection? That might be a blessing sometimes," she grins.
And then he was sitting next to her and she was forgetting how to for words because he was right there. Right next to her!
"Well," she finally breathed. "I... guess... we can fumble our way through this together."
And then she put the teacup on the table before she forgot it existed and spilled it everywhere. Because that would be a fantastic incident in their date.
Hehe, opps. Stupid tall men.
His eyes followed her sitting down the cup, an easy smile stayed in place. "You are nervous." he didn't need to be a vampire that could smell heightened senses to know that. He could see it. "Worry not, your words are true. We will fumble it together." he spoke his green eyes watching her a bit more intensely. It was a strange thing he could do, go from silly to serious to smooth at the drop of a hat... speak of he didn't know where his hat was anymore. Though it was knocked to the floor beside her chair where he had been seated when they came in.
no subject
Martha blinked when he mentioned her anxiety. "It comes with the territory. Bad things happen when I fall for people. So I don't let myself. Usually. You just sort of snuck in under my defenses. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop."
no subject
"Mentally unstable, former human that needs blood to stay alive, and has a beast dwelling inside that must be kept in check. Pretty much is the other shoe Martha." He worked very hard to keep himself in check. "But I know what I want when I see it, and I knew I wanted you." He spoke as he reached out finally, ghosting his cool knuckles down her cheek. "If it is in my power, I will let nothing happen to you."
no subject
She'd been about to expand on how to get a photograph, or film, or something of him when he mentioned he was the other shoe.
"Yes but..." And then she breathed in as his knuckles ghosted down her cheek. They were different from Sam's. Smoother. Cooler. But they still sent sparks through her. After the initial shock, Martha couldn't wait any longer. She pushed forward to her knees so she could gently press her lips against his.
