How's My Driving + Player Plotting Post

Time for Throne of Shadow's very first How's My Driving combined with our very first Player Plotting Post!

Here's how this works.  Respond to this post with a comment that includes your character's information, including a synopsis (one or two sentences or a bullet list is fine) about your character.

People can respond with either an HMD, offering praise or constructive criticism of your character, or they can find out who your character is through the synopsis and if they think they have a character who should get some CR with yours, you plan for your characters to meet, make out, try to break out of the Waiting Room, or just interact in general.

Please note if your character is currently in the Dollhouse.  This plot is winding toward a close, and people should be back from it soon.  Don't let it stop you for planning character interactions after the plot finishes!

And, of course, please be courteous with any criticism of other people's characterization or writing.  We're a small game, and we should all try to play nice with others.

ANON IS OFF for this round of HMD.  If you are open to anon crit, feel free to link to an anon-enabled HMD in your personal character journal.

Ronen's Boys

Eliot Waugh does not have an HMD post set up, mostly because I forgot.
Eliot is currently in the Dollhouse. He's the High King of a Narnia-esque world and a graduate of Brakebills College, a super secret magical institute, and all that despite having been born to a family of soybean farmers in the Middle of Nowhere, Oregon. He loves being a king, he can come off as fairly pretentious, and if you are a man, he will probably flirt with you at some point. That said, he's going to be emotionally distraught coming off of the Dollhouse incident.

Loki has an anon-enabled HMD here.
Loki is currently in the Dollhouse. He was taken right from the beginning of The Avengers, as he was traveling through the portal toward Earth, so now that he's in Dagaz he's basically traded one ambition for another. After all, he's stuck here, so he may as well try to win (no one's told him yet that Nysgods operate on love-at-first-sight. OOPS).
One concern I've had is, I sometimes worry that I'm playing him too nice and/or cooperative with others... even though there would have to be some of that in order for him not to be the Villainous Villain all the time. If anyone has thoughts on that aspect, I would really appreciate it.

I love Eliot! I have no knowledge of canon but he's delightful. I am interested in how he and Spike will be after the Dollhouse--but I think we'll get to that.

I feel like there's something could be done with Loki and Spike, but only if Spike has a chance to figure anything out about him. I'll think about it. Spike's a trickster-poet-romantic and nowhere near a god, so... Dunno, think there's *something* there.

I think it's probable Eliot and Spike will drift toward being friends =3 Eliot was really irritable when they first met because withdrawal yay, but with the passing of time and the bonding from the Dollhouse they could easily become buds. They can feed each others' snark.

With Loki... if Loki could come up with a use for Spike, that'd be an easy reason for them to interact. Like if he wanted to try and manipulate Spike into drinking someone to death to get them out of the competition? Hmm. Or we could try to come up with some general CR things that aren't quite as sinister XD

Awesome. I think without withdrawal, and with bonding, and with Spike not *actually* being evil this seems like fun.

And hmm, a use... I don't know how manipulable Spike is right now, but I am *definitely* up for something that plays on that. Like, he'd need another push, because he's not drinking anyone. But I'm interested in finding a way.

NGL, I don't have much experience threading with MCU Lokis, but if I did, I probably wouldn't be into it because he's a snobby dick so I wouldn't force my characters into talking to him just so they can be used and insulted. Having Red interact with him in he dollhouse hasn't been a bad experience though. Maybe someone who is used to negative CR can inform you better on Loki's ICness, but I've had fun with him.

...yeah, the Dollhouse would have worked out differently if Loki had been stuck with, say, Carol or Gaila. But he's become invested in Katniss, and Red hasn't done anything to ruffle his feathers (she was even one of the first people to step up and agree with him in the pre-Dollhouse log), so it's more like he doesn't care enough to be a snobby dick to her. Also, with how powerless he is relative to any Nysgods, his main concern at this point is getting out (ETA: of the Dollhouse, that is).

Anyway, I do hope that all that comes across as reasonably IC, and I'm glad you're having fun with him.
