He gives it a few minutes before his posture relaxes and he goes back to staring at the screen dully, messing with a loose thread in his kutte.

His temper was close to exploding. A culmination of all the shit over the past few days. Every little annoyance chipped away at his remaining patience like a fragile wall.

She is trying very hard to not do anything that might be annoying. She really doesn't want this to explode into a confrontation.

But sitting both quietly and still is hard for her. Especially when she as the sudden urge to burp. Too many peppers on the sub. She should have gone easy on them.

Damn it. Worst timing.

And the silence is now just plain awkward.

Jax isn't the type to sow fear or force people into doing what they don't want to do. He sighs again.

"You don't have to be totally silent."

She raises an eyebrow.

"Can't be helped." Part of it was not wanting to deal with his temper should it snap. "Don't like being a bother."

"It can be."

And he's getting to his feet. He's going to do the smart thing and leave. With his back to Marion, she'll see the stylised Reaper with "Sons of Anarchy - California" stitched into the leather of his cut.

As Jax makes his way out of the row, he takes a cigarette from the pack in his shirt pocket and lights it up.

She was somewhat familiar with Biker clubs. Her Dad was the best mechanic in the area so sometimes bikers would be at his shop when she was growing up.

She gives him some space. She needs it too personally.

"It wasn't really.... You." She's keeping some distance.

"Werewolf. You're.... like an alpha. Responded to that."

He takes a long draw on his lit cigarette, the tip glowing in the gloom of the theatre. He couldn't care less if this place was no smoking or not.

"Darlin', you're not making any sense."

He still has his back to her, responding from the end of his row.

"...You'll figure it out eventually."

She isn't bothered by him. "It's a magic is bullshit kind of thing."

Well that is true enough.

"Whatever."

It's not as dismissive, but he's still turning to leave, with a sure-of-himself swagger in his step.

"Catch ya later, maybe."
