[So Sweets is ... really confused.

He's thinking that this may just be another instance of Paradisa sending them somewhere else to mess with him for a while, but no one seems to know what Paradisa is.

The journals are gone.

He's watching a documentary about twine.

Eventually he makes his way out of the movie theater and starts wandering around Gebo, trying to figure out if there's anything he can learn about this place, but for the most part he's just really confused.

Scott frowns at the maze he found himself in. How he got there was a mystery and how to get out was turning out to be impossible. He sniffed the air trying to find any scents to guide him, but all he smelled was plastic from the toys and plants from the maze.

His eyes narrow and he keeps walking along the corridors. The toys around him gave him the creeps. Flexing his hand, he let his finger tips grow into claws.

Jackson "Jax" Teller | Sons of Anarchy | Scenario: 2, Feeling: 3

This isn't normally what Jax would go see at the movie theatre. Far from it. But he needed a place to think. A place that would most likely be empty, away from all this bullshit, from people, the risk of being asked "Hey, what's wrong?"

So, here he was, slumped down in his seat, feet kicked up on the chair in front of him, he doesn't care, and staring blankly at the screen. Thinking.

There was someone actually watching this movie. Apparently.

Of course. Hitting an old man was generally frowned upon in most societies. Then again, there were always exceptions.

Clara Oswald | Doctor Who

[All right, so the Doctor's disappeared again, but that's fine because Clara can make do until he turns back up again. At the moment, she's walking through the tunnel between barracks, admiring the sea life that swims by.

Moving up close to the glass, she waves at a mermaid, absolutely thrilled at even having the opportunity, before there's a noise behind her. Turning quickly, she's just in time to see a swirling portal and a little box fall out of it before the portal vanishes. She stares at the box for a moment, looks around to see if anyone else witnessed that, then steps closer to nudge the box with her foot.]

Okay, so my day just got a little more surreal.

[Sarah Jane was coming from her room, getting ready to start her shift at the labor camp music box line when she saw everything Clara had.

She moves forward to stand just a foot away from Clara, staring at the box that had fallen before them.]

[Naturally, Dr. K has gravitated to the city's one tiny bar, because being anywhere that isn't her world is something worthy of being celebrated. She's already had a few drinks, but there's still one thing missing from her celebration: bar food.]

Christ, how long does it take to make a grilled cheese sandwich? I am about this close...

[Helena wasn't one to frequent bars or pubs, she had better things to do with her time. But times called for a drink that day. She was at the bar with a glass of scotch when she heard a slightly familiar voice. Looking over, she saw a woman who, well, looked exactly like her.]

Bloody hell... [Helena muttered and shook her head slightly.]

That's certainly one way to get things done.

David Webb { Jason Bourne } | Bourne Trilogy

He never liked having no memory of how something happened. It occurred to him far too often. Anxiety swelled up on the inside and while his expression betrayed nothing but a stone calm look, he couldn't help recall all those flashes. Waking up roadside; hotel room; a gun in his hand with no idea why. He's weaponless, he feels that weight gone.

The man tries to think back. He seems to be standing in the midst of a park when the last thing he remembers was that he was just about to enter the training facility. He was just about to find some kind of answer. Why, how, who? This doesn't make sense. Sharp blue eyes look around. The man's not tall but he's built and he carries himself squarely. He's a soldier, no doubt. It practically radiates off of him.

Finally there's a shift in his expression; a dip in his brows.

You're getting Novel!Bourne, and I'm not sorry.

He's been taken again. Taken away from his family.

The explanation the Nygods gave him wasn't satisfactory. He only had one love, but it had taken David every ounce of his being to stop Delta. Stop him from doing something both of them would regret.

Your time will come.

He's certain Delta, Bourne, would be needed in this place, but, for now, he was content to bide his time. People on the network said time stopped still while he was here. Maybe it was true, part of him called it impossible. But still, he was here, wandering around a park, getting a sense of his surroundings.

He was busy looking up at a tree when he just walks square into the back of someone, staggering back.

"Oh... God. I'm so sorry."

Ruby Lucas | Once Upon a Time (she was previously in game)

[Ruby doesn't understand where she is. Did she finally get sent back home to find Storybrooke overrun by a topiary maze? She wouldn't put it past Regina. But what if she was still in the Nysgod realm? What had happened now?]

[She stops in place and listens carefully, knowing she'll hear someone also out in the maze much more clearly than a normal person would. When she detects movement not far away, she starts to move herself.]

Why Leela was watching "The History of Twine" was beyond her. It was incredibly boring. The warrior, who was indeed clad in her animal skins, let out a very loud sigh and slouched in her seat. She never was one for sitting still, let alone watching something this boring. Of course, the Doctor might tell her she was learning something, but what was interesting about twine? Leela could weave twine for herself if she needed it, she didn't need to watch a talking-picture about it.

Though suddenly, she realized something was mewing. Blinking, Leela sat up and saw a ball of fluff sitting beside her foot.

"What do you want?" She spoke to it as though it would actually speak back.

Sarah Jane has the fortune of obtaining a cat here in Gebo, but the misfortune of not being able to keep the silly creature at bay in her room! Luka seemed to run off everywhere!

Sarah Jane had been looking everywhere for a good hour, but then sighed with defeat when she stepped into the the theater where she saw the warrior woman looking intently at something.

"Hello there, is everything alright?" She didn't want to think she had lost her cat, but perhaps she really had this time.

[He probably should have taken a right after that second left. Or, maybe he should have gone straight through, rather than take the right before the first left. Regardless, he was lost now, and no matter what turn he made where only ended up putting Caius deeper into the maze.

[Mazes were always interesting and being a reader came with horror stories about the garden mazes, so there was no way that Devi wasn't going to try and have at least one honest go of the challenge. For the greatness in her sense of time, her sense of direction is crap and she's stopped at a dead end, staring at the wall of green with debates of just tearing through it.

But an honest go, right? With a shake of her head, she turns around and hears 'MARCO' called out. After a second, and no other answers, she replies herself. Can't just leave that hanging.]

Scar was relieved to leave behind the constant bustle and noise of the shipping center as he stepped onto the shuttle back to the dorms. He hated working for these bastards, but the food and living space had quickly run out when he refused to. Surly as always, he minded his own business as he took his seat alone.

There was, however, one oddity.

A kitten, soft and a little on the thin side, had wandered to his side and settled on the chair next to him. It mewed, nuzzling Scar's side as it looked for attention. Expression unchanging, he turned his head to look at it. The kitten stared back.

After a moment's silence, he reached out with a hand nearly as large as the cat itself, and began to pat it.

There was another oddity in the shuttle, but this one was far less bold and adorable. Like the kitten. Of course the kitten.

Merlin watched the exchange between the little furball and the candidate with a small quirk of a smile. He was leaned back in his seat, and looked for all the city as if he was going to nap his way through the shuttle ride. Thin arms crossed over his chest.

"You know, I think that one is following you home."

It's quite unusual for her to be lost like this, and Sexy is actually enjoying it. Somewhat, at least. Wandering has always been her forte, but she usually had a general idea of where she was wandering to, at the very least.

So here she is, just sort of floating about, wondering just who brought her here - and how, naturally. Because her box is missing - how very peculiar, hm?

Sarah Jane had just gotten off her shift in the assembly line of music box quality. Her hair stuck to her forehead as she wiped it with the arm of her sleeve when she sees the lost woman.

"Can I help you?" She moves in closer, noticing her strange dress.

The man in the simple clean black suit adjusted his hat as he looks around at the little bar he'd found himself in. He's not sure how he got here, but since he is..

A finger is lifted to try and catch a waiter's eye. The voice that accompanied it was accented.]

[A low groan comes from the woman with a mass of curls resting her head against her knees. She's just waking up, from an impromptu nap? Groggily, she raises her head and tilts it back slowly to look up at the sky, only stopping once the bushes behind her hooked on her curls.

Was she in a garden? There wasn't any garden like this where she lived now, and she couldn't remember using her vortex manipulator at any point...

It took her several minutes to get her bearings, but it became clear that this was a mystery. And she liked mysteries. As she wobbily got to her feet, she decided to make the most of an unusual situation and try to solve it.]

Where the HELL am I?! Get me out of here!

[Twenty five minutes or more of wandering amidst the topiary displays made her temper skyrocket; it began to feel more like a cage than a decorative puzzle, and River Song hated cages.

She didn't even have the comfort of her blaster or a pocket knife to try the destructive way out. All she could do was shout.]

[Hikaru Sulu was used to the maze, used to the feeling of being in a cage. As used to that as you could be with some weeks worth of living in a big aquarium. She was used to a lot of things, but shouting really wasn't one of them.

For all the protesting that the candidates did on a daily basis. There was nothing quite like the volume of a new arrival.

And no new arrival that she'd met had a set of lungs like this one.]

...erm. Hate to be the one to break it to you. Party town, this isn't. Well, public nudity sure, but I somehow thing they'll have an ordinance against yelling.

[it should be normal for Lydia to just find herself in strange places now. It's been happening far too often for her own good anyway, and usually results in dead bodies. This time around, she's feeling remarkably relieved: there have been no dead bodies so far. No screaming, no bodies.

[But then again, none of the people she knows, either.

[It's all very disconcerting, though - she knows the place only vaguely, with most of the original tour going right over her head. That's how Lydia found herself standing in the barracks tunnel, watching all manner of fish go by. It's sort of interesting, she supposes; it's definitely not Beacon Hills. But hey: maybe that's a good thing.

[Or it will be, once she gets that pretty little head of hers screwed on properly.]

Around and around. There are so many corners, so many dead ends that he keeps running into that it reminds him of the maze of Gedref. Except this isn't to help his people and he's starting to get angry. Alright, he was already angry. When he found the person responsible Arthur was going to throw them in the stocks for the day and then he'd take pleasure in throwing rotten fruit at them himself.

Or he'd just hit them upon seeing them - it depended on how generous he was feeling when he found them.

A meow sounded from beneath him and Arthur looked down at the tiny kitten held in one arm. He hadn't known how it had gotten there. Magic perhaps. If he were honest with himself, he didn't know why he continued to carry it. It seemed like a perfectly normal animal (despite the magical appearance) and so he'd take it out of the maze and let it go. That is, if he could ever find the way out.

Arthur lifted the kitten which was tiny enough to sit in the palm of his hand. "You better not be responsible for this." The kitten blinked owlishly at him and mewed.

Cuthbert had found himself - as he often did when the day was winding down - wandering. He liked to walk and be alone with his thoughts sometimes, ambling wherever his feet would take him and sorting through the many puzzles and ponderings that kept his mind running in circles.

It was only a voice from down 'round a corner that pulled him from his thoughts, and he turned the bend with a curious grin.

The voice wasn't a familiar one, but it held that accent that put Bert so much in mind of his own homeland.

Maxwell Gray (OC; generic Vampire)

[ Of all of the strange things he had seen over the many years this certainly took the cake.]

'Ello there? Anyone out there? [ He spoke into the strange ear device.]

Maybe it's broken, bloody hell. That'll do me no good. [ he muttered to himself but over the network. He was standing looking at the fish swimming in the Barrack's tunnels. Amused but concerned. What was this world?]

[The man seemed to be trying to use the network and Kurt could hear it over his earpiece, but he didn't seem to be comfortable with it. He glances at the fish and then back at the man.]

Sarah is just starting to get the hand of Gebo. She likes the routine of it, though she misses her classes. She's also getting a handle on having roommates and still finding ways to nest while dealing with roommates (she's a little messy, sorry to anyone who has to live with her) though she still misses Verity. The Nysgods being telepaths allows her to indulge in something familiar, but she still is a little hesitant to go back to using her abilities as she should after her encounter with the Covenant of St. George.

It's complicated, being here.

(She also really misses Artie. And comic books. And Babylon 5.)

All the same, she goes about her day to day with relative ease, always dropping by to see friends when she can. After all, everyone always loves it when your favorite resident telepath comes to town, right?

[ooc: Sarah is what's called a cuckoo! She's got a fun list of powers you can find here, as well as some other fun biology notes, but for the purposes of this test drive, all you really need to know is that she is:

a) Cold-blooded
b) No heartbeat (Decentralized circulatory system)
c) Telepathic static field can be felt in her presence.

It's not that Ruby spends her days trailing people and listening to their heartbeats. She doesn't. Because that would be creepy. But when it comes to certain people, she sometimes becomes aware of that bit of background noise being missing. Her first thought is usually "vampire" but she doesn't judge. It'd be like the pot calling the kettle black. However, she does make note of who has a heartbeat and who doesn't, just so she knows if someone who looks human isn't.

So one day when she's walking around the quiet library, she comes across Sarah. And Ruby notes the lack of a heartbeat. Okay, so not human then. Maybe Ruby should make more friends who aren't; people who are something else, like her.

"Hello. Are you a candidate, or a native of Gebo?"

Granuaile MacTiernan | Iron Druid Chronicles

[Coming out of the History of Twine documentary, Granuaile rubs her eyes and yawns. She can deal with a lot, but she thinks that film might be considered a form of torture by the Geneva Convention.

She stretches her arms over her head, making her shirt lift at the stomach to show that the Celtic tattoo running up her arm also runs down her side. (Just how far does that thing go?) Looking around in the hopes of something else to do, her stomach rumbles. Man, she could really go for a grilled cheese sandwich right about now. Spotting someone passing by, she waves to them like they're an old friend.]

Hi, sorry. Would you know of any place around here that serves grilled cheese sandwiches? I would literally recite the history of twine from memory for one.

[Hello. Have a very Irish red head looking at your tattoos curiously. He also has a grey kitten sitting on one shoulder... another peeking out of a pocket in his duster... and a mamma cat winding around his ankles.

He will also look very interesting magically speaking. First off there's a bond between him and momma cat and from her a weaker one to the kittens. There's definitely a fae curse over his head, a sprinkling of the Morrigan... and Brigid... and for good shakes we'll toss in a round of something shiny good old beskerer-heroic gleam that's very old.]

I think I saw a grilled cheese sandwich shop down that way though.

Himura Kenshin - Rurouni Kenshin (Live action movie only)

Kenshin's neck craned back so he could look at the curvature of the tunnel. The way the light bent and distorted the movement and lines of the aquatic life swimming past amused and baffled and captivated him. He'd never seen anything like this in all his travels before. Not in his wildest dreams could he have imagined this underwater city.

An iridescent blue and yellow fish – what kind of world had fish of this color? Swam by, and leaning far back he attempted to follow its path. Reaching a curious hand towards it, only to be stopped by the transparent wall of the tunnel. Back and up, he twisted to keep it in his sight, but it glided overhead and Kenshin caught himself tumbling back, off balance from trying to stay with the fish.

“Oro!”

And as he righted himself, he saw stumbling in fluffy, furry fashion, a small kitten pawing ineffectually at the glass. What a strange place this was.

“Neko Chan,” he called to brown tabby creature. “What are you doing here?” The same thing he was doing, apparently, because as he reached for it, it too tried to reach for a colorful fish and lost its balance, stumbling back into his outstretch palms.

"Ah..." Logan blinks slightly. He had imagined this place was held together by some feet of magic. He is just a Paladin after all. His world is ruled by magic and the gods, not this mysterious art called science.

The fish are like small paintings. He had once seen paintings of dragons in his former Lord's castle but he had never imagined he would see anything as beautiful nor alien looking as these fish.

"Ah... pardon. Is that thine pet?" He is curious as to why anyone would leave a kitten in this strange hall way. What if the magic fails? Running to escape death might not be something the kitten can manage.

Fire - Graceling Series (specifically the book title 'Fire')

Well didn't this just have Fire's temper raised to a level that matched her hair. A keen feat to pull from her, her emotions rarely burned this hot. But kidnap, given her history, had a way of doing that to her. Kidnapped (for a royal marriage she did not consent to), her bow taken from her, and encased under the sea! Didn't they know fire and water did not mix? It didn't matter that somehow the technology of this place, far out shining that the Dells, was keeping the impossible back - who could keep back the ocean? Like taming fire.

Outwardly she was calm and collected, if her movements a bit swift and directed as she headed towards the administration offices. Surely that's where she could go to rectify this egregious mistake. She did not care to see the marvels of this city, she wanted to go home - to the prince whom she did love, not waiting for this Tristan to choose.



[OOC: Okay, so Fire has some interesting abilities and qualities to her. She is telepathic and empathic and strong enough to control the thoughts and actions of others and even change their memories - BUT she only takes over a mind in self defense.

Which leads to the second uniqueness about her - she's a 'monster' in her fandom, a brief explanation HERE. But one of the problems of being a monster is that they tend to negatively affect the weak minded without any effort on the monster's part (like, vinegar and baking soda, except Fire tries to avoid those who would react strongly to her). If your character is weak minded, she will drive them to either lust uncontrollably for her (like of the sexual assault variety) or rage at her (violent physical assault) - both bad for Fire.

So, okay, I know this is an odd request - but I ask that only characters with strong emotional control and mental fortifications (like the kind the characters teach each other to keep the Nysgods out) interact with her for just this test drive. It's just make things not so complicated right now.

The darkside rippled with strength enough to stop Maul from doing whatever it was he was preoccupied with immediately. He knew that eventually the Nysgod would continue to pull in more and more dynamic candidates that they simply would not be capable of controlling.

Maul stalks quickly, moving between those that pass him in their hustle and bustle to the source of this ire. He sees her, steps away, engulfed in her direction and current purpose. A grin tugs itself up over his lips.

Yes, this will be good.

It didn't seem fair, Lust had decided, that life could somehow be so much more complex and yet even more simple than her early existence had ever led her to believe. Life had been simple. Life had been slavery, of course she knew that now, but it had been simple. Orders. A master. A clear goal to strive and long for. Nothing else mattered.

But then a door had opened, and another, and another, and suddenly Lust felt as though she were standing in the center of a great chamber that was nothing but doors. And behind each one was some mystery, some revelation, some entire rewriting of what the homunculus accepted as reality.

It was enough to make her long for simpler days. Did this place have some sort of direct line to her mind? The mental image was reinforced when Lust opened a proper wood door and found a room that seemed to contain nothing but the sort of amusements and distractions that might have been popular in Amestris twenty years ago. Wooden horses and jack-go-springs and an old dollhouse that surely children human back home - and where was home, really? How long ago was it? - would have stamped their feet and bawled their little eyes out on sidewalks for.

It was furnished, the big toy house. Lust closed the door behind her and knelt in front of the diminutive mansion, dimly curious. There was even a little wooden family, to live inside. Children played at human lives and learned to be proper humans that way. Hadn't she done the same for so long, with Envy and Gluttony? They had lived so many lives, so many roles, played at being proper people for so very long...

But nothing had ever danced close to the edge of proper when the playing was done.

Gipsy Danger has never been so small in her life and there are so, so many things that come with being 'human' than she could have possibly discerned from her pilots memories.

She's first seated in the cinema and staring in fascination at the screen as the movie plays - honestly, she'd had no idea that twine had such a fascinating past, it was really quite something.

Then, if you don't catch her there, one will be able to locate her lost somewhere in the topiary maze, looking up up up at each one as she passes, awe and confusion written on her face.

Sitting next to her is the Enterprise. While she was already aware of the history of twine there is something about seeing it in a movie. There was only one other who was as fascinated as she was about this movie.

So she leaned over and whispered quietly. "Over two hundred years later and twine is still used. Mostly in farming."

If there is anything like a broadcasting center in this startling, fascinating city, Cecil is certain it will be in the administrative center. Because after all, the free flow of heavily censored information is just vital to a city. Any city. It's just the truth. Everyone knows it. And these Nysgod (and doesn't he love saying that aloud, the name of an alien race) may be able to speak mind to mind, but there simply must be something like radio.

Clara's poking around the administrative center too, trying to understand the type of people in charge. The weekly changing rules seem silly to her, especially since they're such harmless things like humming or chewing gum.

Spotting another candidate, she heads over to him, voice lowered like they're secret agents on a covert mission.

"Learning anything?"

One minute he is in the medbay of the Enterprise, the next, definitely not anywhere on the Enterprise. And why is there a kitten following him?
