[She looks over at Sarah Jane, then smiles.]

Let's find out.

[She scoops the box into her hands, glad it doesn't appear to have anything about it that would seem to hurt someone who wanted to pick it up. She turns it over, looking at the runes.]

Some alien alphabet block? I'm not sure.

Alien alphabet? Let me see! I might have seen it before. Believe it or not, I used to travel through space and time with a friend called the Doctor.

[Sarah has come to realize far less people than she expected weren't as surprised about this revelation than she thought would be. Most everyone had a similar story or experience.

But when she came closer and looked at it, even traced it with a finger, she shakes her head.]

No, I'm not sure what it could be from... Oh, maybe from the temple we lived in!

[Clara looks up sharply and takes a good, long look at the woman while she's preoccupied with the cube. And then it strikes her who she is. When Clara jumped into the Doctor's time stream to save him over and over again, she saw not only all his regenerations, but his companions too. Not to mention the file photos displayed at U.N.I.T. headquarters. Oh yes, she remembers this face, but she doesn't want to freak Sarah Jane out.]

I believe you. We're in the same Doctor's friend club.

[But enough about that...]

Now what was this Temple?

You know the Doctor too!? You're not the only one, there's quite a few here, actually.

[And there's a pause, even though not in the most appropriate of times.]

Have you met me? Some of the other girls here said they've met me before but I'm older in their time frame.

[Sarah Jane realizes she's rambling and offers a smile.] I'm sorry, I'm being ridiculous when we're trying to figure this out. When I arrived and when many others arrived, we were in a Temple called "Othala". It was really beautiful and there were some carvings there. Now that you've mentioned it, I haven't seen any here, I don't reckon.

[Clara lifts her brows. A companion reunion, it seems.]

It's kind of complicated. Though I've said that a lot traveling with the Doctor. You probably know what I'm talking about. We haven't met, no, but I've seen you before.

[She examines the cube again, poking at the runes.]

It could be the thing that appeared was a portal from the Temple to here. Maybe this is a... prayer cube?

Possibly, but... Well, I doubt it. I haven't been here terribly long, but long enough that religion isn't extremely important here on daily living. I don't recall anyone going to any services or setting anything up.

But I wouldn't rule that out totally.

[Sarah wonders briefly where Clara had seen her, but decides that's not important now.]

Could it be for transport?

Transport! I like that idea. Maybe you put your fingers on certain runes and they're coordinates?

[She makes a bit of a face.]

Better be careful. Don't want to end up in Cardiff.

[Sarah Jane laughs at that.]

Cardiff can't be all that bad! But I've never been there myself.

[She sort of wishes that was an option for them, to get out of this place.]

Let's try it, then! If anything, maybe it's a special lock box and will have something inside.

[Sarah Jane looks the cube over and randomly decides two carving to touch...and wait.]

[Clara's torn between getting up close to see what happens and taking a step or two back in case something explodes. In the end, she just splits the difference and stays where she is.]

Do you feel anything happening? Like vibrations or anything, well... odd?

[She shakes her head.]

No, nothing.

[And then she felt a strange chill overcome her body, engulfing it and she looked up at Clara with wide eyes for a moment before slamming the box to the ground.]

I... What was that!?

[Her breathing was coming in pants and she stared at the box on the ground, now glowing slightly.]

[Clara moves closer, putting an arm around her and trying to navigate her back from the box.]

You all right? What happened?

I don't know! I just suddenly became very cold without an explanation! Did I change? Go anywhere?

[She squats down to the box, looking it over and then back to Clara.]

Suppose I try again...

[And she places her hands on different ruins this time and waits to see what happens.]

No, you were still here.

[Nervous, she fiddles with her necklace as Sarah Jane tries again. She's a pretty logical thinker, so she voices her worries aloud.]

Won't it just do the opposite and burn you instead?

I don't...

[And she jumps slightly.]

It shocked me! It actually...

[And then the volts of electricity became stronger and once again she dropped it and wrinkled her nose.]

I don't like that at all!

Okay. Let's just step away from the nasty shocky freeze ball thing before it does something worse.

[Nasty shocky freeze ball? God, she's taking after the Doctor.]

Are there some sort of authorities we can call to come pick this thing up? And what's more, do you need your hand looked at?

[Sarah steps over to Clara, showing her her hands. They glowed a faint light for a moment before turning back to normal.]

Have you ever seen such a thing before? I don't feel any different, though.

[She pauses for a moment.]

Do you think the Doctor would know what to do with it? It seems like something he'd love to tinker with.

[Clara's seen so many things, and the light does remind her of the regeneration glow the Doctor gets, but obviously this isn't the same.]

It might be a security system to keep people out. And there's a good chance he would. Do you know how to find him?

I think I know where he typically haunts. Let's go!

[Sarah takes off down the hall, hoping Clara will follow. She weaves in and out of a few people walking about until she slid in front of a door.]

Doctor! [She bangs on the door.] Doctor, open this door!

[She finally tries the handle herself, opening the door with no one in the laboratory.]

[Oh, she's a runner, she is. Clara follows at a decent pace, slipping around people until she enters the lab on Sarah's heels.]

It sure looks like a Doctor-y place. Well, there should be more scorch marks and the smell of smoke, knowing him.

[That made Sarah Jane laugh, as she looks over to Clara.]

Tell me, is he still as stubborn when he's with you? Still getting into trouble?

Big time! But the stubbornness can be good, since he never gives up. He's like a really old kid who needs to be nannied sometimes.

[Good thing she has the practice then, huh?]
