Neither. What part of the fucked up Mythos are you talking about because there's a few.

That's like asking me to pick my favorite book. Ceres, Pluto and Proserpine come easiest to mind. Always sounded like the Greeks had more fun, if you ask me.

Yeah, that's the rumor. [a bit of a knowing smile there.] Then again, the Greeks sure knew how to tell stories better than anyone else.

But, no, the Mythos isn't it either.

[She propped her chin on a bent wrist.]

[nope. not even going spare an opinion on the Vatican. he agrees on the rest with a nod.]

[his tone drifts a little, remembering his all the lives he took, and his First Death. realising how serious that sounded, he shrugged.]

[oh, this one was sharp. but, he kind of expected it. Devi didn't give him the impression, so far, of being one of those horribly oblivious people.

he grins, and laughs. cats out of the bag now.]

Currently, I'm just an outworlder who's bouncing around the multiverse. For about six years. Before that, I was just an artist.

[She gives a half shrug. The idea of home wasn't a thing she had.]

I'm going to assume that's not exactly sarcasm...

When I left it was doing cover art for shitty short sci-fi novels. I stick with paint, mostly and sketch. I've sculpted a couple of times. At whatever I want to, I guess.

Whatever strikes my fancy.

Nice. I'd love to see your stuff.

A little bit. [holds fingers a bit apart] I guess anything that gets the creative juices going. Painting is mostly abstract, but my last two pieces were more Surrealism.

Also into photography, writing music and have mastered the art of selling pens.

Maybe you'll get to. [Assuming she ever saw him around Gebo again. But his choices earns an interested oh. She likes you, Caius.]

I hope so. [If she thinks this will be the first and last time they cross paths, she's wrong. Oh, and the feeling is definitely mutual. He laughs.]

It's a lot harder than people think.

Alternative-Indie-Rock? I don't know how to describe it. It would be easier if I had my guitar but customs wouldn't let me through with it.

Mm, my kind of music. You should see if they'll give it back once you get settled. Maybe play for me. It'd be a fair trade, my art for your music. [The Artists version of 'Show me yours and I'll show you mine'.]

You don't look much like a door to door salesman, though I'm sure you could be convincing enough. What's an Immortal doing selling pens, if you don't mind the asking?

It's a deal. Should we shake on it? Kind of makes us obligated to make it happen.

[Caius looks at her, stretching out his hand.

Nonchalantly.]

I lost a game of darts.

[She blinks at the answer, then laughs. That wasn't the answer she expected. Her mirth settles into a small smile as she regards his hand, followed by the hedge and a glance out over the rest of the maze. Hopping sides would mean she's cheated her original goal, but being obligated to listen to him play was arguably more profitable for her enjoyment.

But she's still on the hedge and out of arms reach. It didn't take her but a second to discard her maze winning fun for nothing more then a handshake. With a little push off the hedge, Devi straightens and rises to 'step' onto the surface. Her steps had no weight to them and she walked to the edge before stepping off and effortlessly lowering herself onto his side.

With a smirk, she takes his hand and pumps it a few times.]

Deal.

[Maybe it was the height advantage she had over him, or the fact that he was intrigued with Devi right from the get-go, but when she stepped on the hedge, he definitely didn't expect what he saw.

Caius' eyes lingered just a moment on her face before letting them drop to her chest. He tried not to stare too long, but it was kind of hard. She had a sick sense of style; one Caius appreciated. That much could be translated in his smile.

After they shook hands, he released hers and gave her a nod.]

Alright. So, which way is out again?

[Devi watched his gaze fall and it only deepened her smirk. The girls were getting a lot of attention since she'd hopped worlds and it had gotten to a point where she accepted it for what it was. The appreciation was noted and flattering; better to come from a handsome source then one that made her skin crawl.

She gestured vaguely in the direction she had before.]

Yonder. Not that it helps much; it is a maze. I'd ask if your brand of immortality brought powers, jumping things in single bounds or something, but considering you're lost..

How's your sense of direction?

[Never the subtle one, Caius just smiled - or, smirked - as his gaze eventually made it's way back to her face and then to the side where she motioned to.]

Nope. Healing is about it. Unless you want to count my culinary skills on top of my elusive pen selling powers. Sense of direction is decent though.

You going to leave me on my own now? Or, can I talk you into a cup of coffee?

[He was confident. Her eyebrow twitched in amusement at the welcome change.]

Since you've already coaxed me from my side of the hedge, I guess that all depends on how well you talk. I've got a weakness for coffee, so it shouldn't be too hard.

You know, I totally guessed that about you. [Caius turns slowly around, pausing momentarily for her to fall in beside him and begins to walk] And now that I know what one of your weaknesses are, finding the rest should be pretty easy.
