gipsy danger; pacrim
She's first seated in the cinema and staring in fascination at the screen as the movie plays - honestly, she'd had no idea that twine had such a fascinating past, it was really quite something.
Then, if you don't catch her there, one will be able to locate her lost somewhere in the topiary maze, looking up up up at each one as she passes, awe and confusion written on her face.
no subject
So she leaned over and whispered quietly. "Over two hundred years later and twine is still used. Mostly in farming."
no subject
Gipsy's chin is resting in her hands now, head tipped slightly enough so that she can hear the other person whispering.
"It's fascinating, isn't it?" She murmurs, eyes still fixed to the screen.
no subject
"It is. Shame that others don't feel the same."

Raleigh rounds a corner and almost crashes bodily into the woman standing there with her head tipped all the way back. He looks up, curious what got her attention but he can't see anything out of the ordinary.
"Lost?"
no subject
"Raleigh Becket." She smooths her dress, and shakes her head.
"Not anymore."
no subject
"Ma'am." He nods his head at her. "I'm sorry, but do I know you?"
no subject
Gipsy's face is an amalgamation, a combination of faces from Raleigh, Yancy, Mako and her own creation.
She tips her head, saddened clearly, but also understanding.
"Very well, Mister Becket. You know me very well."
no subject
He wishes he could say the same. But her words only make his focus more intense and troubled. There was something to the slope of her nose and shape of her eyes that Raleigh found unsettlingly familiar.
It doesn't sit well that he can't bring forward a name. Or that she can look at him with so much hurt and understanding when all he can give back is guilt and confusion.
He shakes his head slightly and let's out a soft, wry laugh.
"Well this is embarrassing."
no subject
Gipsy laughs quietly, clasping her hands in front of her and giving him a warm, loving little smile. That is so Raleigh - to just chuckle wryly, shake his head and look so sheepish. She wants to hold him and tell him it's alright, everything is alright.
"Your confusion is understandable." She tucks a piece of hair behind her ear, and steels herself.
"My name is Gipsy Danger."
no subject
"What?"
Raleigh unconsciously pulls back. His back suddenly ramrod straight and body on alert.
He looked around for a camera or some other proof that someone was messing with his head but there wasn't anyone else there but the greenery and the two of them.
no subject
"Gipsy Danger."
She's quiet, letting him pull back and away from her, though it breaks her heart that he does so.
"Strange, to be so small, so...confined. But--" She hesitates and looks at him, taking him in as her eyes prick a little with the unfamiliar sensation of tears. "But true."
no subject
He took a step toward her and touched her shoulder. "How?"
no subject
She tries to pull herself together and truthfully, she's not even completely certain what it is that is happening. She's never cried before, and she lifts a hand to touch her cheek, surprised at the wetness. She's leaking.
"I -- I don't know. Coming here, I suppose." However they'd done it, they had. Gipsy didn't know how they downloaded her information and put it into this...feeble body but they had and she desperately needs her pilot to not reject her.

Gipsy is steadily collecting her pilots, it seems. She senses an approach, hears footsteps, and then she turns and comes face to face with Miss Mori, and she smiles.
"Mako," she says, hands folding in front of her.
no subject
"Gipsy."

Like many decisions made under the influence of adrenaline and lack of sleep he soon comes to regret entering the maze. A growl of annoyance escapes him when the trail he has been following brings him to a topiary he knows he has passed several times already, temptation to kick the damn thing flaring in his chest. Reining in on the impulse he steps back and studies the pathways that lead away from where he currently stands, plotting out which ones he has already taken. One of them will take him to where he needs to go and sooner or later he is bound to pick the right one. He just prefers it to be sooner.
Movement in the corner of his eye draws his attention back the way he had just come. He pauses when he sees that it is a woman and debates a moment whether to approach her or not. In the end he decides that it can't hurt to be at the very least polite. "Excuse me! Are you as lost as I am?" he calls, hoping that he does not startle her in the process even as he musters up a friendly smile.
no subject
She's been staring at the tall hedges for some time, considering and contemplating them, still not quite sure of their function. To her, this was all very strange, the idea of these structures grown for the sole purpose of confusion.
It's why when he approaches she doesn't imemdiately hear him but the moment he speaks she turns, liquid brown eyes very wide, smile blooming across her features.
"Yancy."
It's so very strange, seeing her beautiful pilot after all of this time, seeing him right here, alive, and in the flesh is overwhelming and she very nearly begins to cry and she just barely holds it back -- if only because he likely will not recognize her.
Oh, but how she longs to pull him in her arms and hold him so tightly. Tancy Becket, alive, here and now, after all these years of that hole in her soul.
no subject
"Are you...okay?" he asks, concerned despite the strangeness of the moment.
no subject
What is it with her boys shutting down in the face of emotions? She smiles, genuine and sweet.
"Better, now. I don't suppose you'd recognize me, not like this."
She tips her head, and gives him a gentle look.
"My name is Gipsy Danger."
no subject
"I..." he trails off, concern replaced once again by confusion over her words. It doesn't get much better when she introduces herself. The young ranger stares at her, emotions ranging from disbelief to annoyance to pure bafflement playing across his face. Clearly he does not know what to make of her. "Gipsy? How-?"
no subject
"I don't know," she says honestly, lifting her shoulders in a half shrug. "I cannot explain this. Every particle of my being demands rational and an explanation, but unfortunately, there is none. I can come up with nothing save that it had to do with my arrival here."
Being so small, so tiny like this -- it was equal parts terrifying and fascinating.
