Today however, the shuttlecraft carried with it a very special passenger. It surprised Spock, though not visibly, to see the Doctor still so visibly disgruntled despite having traveled between universes. Was the good Doctor not fascinated by his new surroundings?
Perhaps Spock was even marginally heartened by Bones's appearance. Other than Christine, the remaining members of the Enterprise crew were not from his universe. McCoy was the preverbal familiar face from home. But such feelings implied having feelings in the first place, which Spock would immediately declare that he did not.
The tall, lanky Vulcan, dressed still in his Science Blue, passed McCoy on the way to his own seat. Spock had selected the one directly across from the Doctor. ]
I have trouble believing that the Grasp would have selected you as a viable candidate Doctor McCoy. You have so many undesirable human qualities.
[ He missed you Bones. In that love hate kind of way. ]

And yet here I am, Mr. Spock. That's a helluva faulty logic loop you've there. Might wanna fix it before you fry yer circuits.
Clearly they needed Starfleet's steadiest hands for their embroidery needs.
[ That, Commander, is called heavy sarcasm and it's all that's keeping him together anymore. ]

Even I, Doctor, admit that embroidery is a complete waste of your skills.
[ Just when you think Spock is saying something to nice to him, the Vulcan adds: ]
Clothing stitching would be much more suitable. You could mend clothes as you once mended humans.
[ After this however, and whatever comeback Bones might have, Spock is ready to talk business. ]
