Sirius Black | Magical Wizard People (Marauder Era)
Then he lit up. "That's it!" With a wave of his wand and more muttering, in a language that is most certainly not English, he stepped back from the hedge. In fact, he moved extremely far away.
The hedge looked unchanged but anyone who walked passed it will find themselves being insulted. Sirius, the one responsible for the hedge's newfound ability to speak, is standing nearby.
Sirius | Regulus
He’d entered this park on the idea that nature was supposed to calm ones nerves, and one like him would certainly be agitated after being kidnapped for a matrimonial union he did not agree to. Why he believed this misguided platitude was a mystery. New environs, perhaps he was thinking too optimistically about trying out new thinking.
But now he was lost in a verdant hell. He could see the irony in that, being Slytherin. He usually loved green, but this was dirt covered torture.
“Wee little Black should run home to his mummy before the big, bad bush makes him wail like a poor excuse for a banshee.”
Oh, and now the plants were turning on him.
He didn’t see his brother waiting in hiding, Regulus just glared daggers at the section of the maze wall that had spoken its last insult.
He raised his wand at the bush and with a few harsh words later, the branches crumbled in ash.

Yet, Sirius was never one to back down from his family - especially in the more recent years of his life. So a deep breath later to control that Black temper and out he stepped in order to face his little sibling.
Who wasn't so little anymore. Regulus looked older than last time Sirius had seen him. Not that he should be surprised considering what he'd learned of this place already. He didn't let the momentary shock register on his face. "You really should be ashamed of yourself, killing an innocent bush like that. I'm going to have to report you to the Task Force Dedicated to the Protection of Magical Flora."

He shut his eyes and took a deep breath before turning to face his brother.
Sirius was younger than the last time he’d seen his brother, but he would guess he was out of Hogwarts. Not yet from Azkaban, the wand and the lack of haunting madness gave it away. Regulus had been inside that building on Death Eater business, relaying a message, and he knew he never wanted to go back there again.
And none of this told him how this meeting would go.
“Please do,” he quipped back, rocking on his heels for emphasis. “If they can make it, then they’ll take me far, far away from this place.”

Not quite out of Hogwarts though well on his way out the door and the teachers will surely be glad of it after all of the trouble he's helped cause. As for Regulus, he can only guess at his brother's age. Older than him, certainly, but he has no idea just how many years had passed.
"'fraid not. Punishment for bush death is eternal imprisonment in a flora prison. Welcome to Shrubbery Penitentiary." He motioned to the area around them.

And Regulus opened his mouth to remark about that. To engage in a way that showed he wanted them to interact like brothers.
It wasn’t an insult, but it wasn’t an olive branch either. He closed his mouth and reconsidered what he would say.
If anything, he was mad that his brother hadn’t given him a blatant reason to hate him.
That miniscule hope flared for one second, flashing across his face before it was replaced by something blank. They weren’t old chums reuniting, and the best thing for Regulus was to leave his brother to his pranking.
“Then be so kind and do give the warden my regards.”
Regulus turned to his right to leave.

Not that Draco was really one to talk. As far as things went, he was perhaps one of the least mature magic-users out there, particularly when one stopped to consider the fact that he was supposed to be some sort of upstanding individual. Supposedly. He didn't really concern himself with it, not when he could generally just berate others for their own failures.
Sirius might not be lost, but Draco...well, Draco sort of was. He liked to think he could get out just fine. He probably couldn't, but that was neither here nor there. It wasn't every day that a hedge started insulting him when he walked by, after all.
"You're not so great yourself, hedge," he sneered at the thing, cheeks flushing a little bit with irritated embarrassment as he glanced around for whomever might have done such a thing.

Being mature when one had magic was a silly thing in Sirius' opinion. They were much better off using it for fun things rather than all those things they'd been taught in school. It was preferred than using it to harm or kill others.
Honestly, loads of magic at the tip of his fingers and Malfoy can't even find his way out of maze. Not even a magical maze. Just a plain, ordinary, boring Muggle maze.
"I'll have you know that I'm the finest hedge in the bunch!" It huffed.
There was no stopping it, Sirius let out a laugh. Was it because of the fact that Draco was actually talking back to it, or some other reason, is unclear. With his cover blown the teenager stepped out of his hiding spot. "Having a bit of trouble?" Was his innocent question.

And it wasn't that he couldn't find his way out, and more that he wasn't trying. It had been a pleasant walk, up until the point when the bushes started insulting him. Honestly. The nerve of some supposedly inanimate objects. Highly unnecessary.
Grey eyes snapped sharply over to Sirius, narrowing slightly in slight recognition that went otherwise unacknowledged. "No. It's hardly trouble."
