We're all in this together [Plotting post]
Forgive the awful high school musical title, it was all I could think of that was appropriate!
The word's got about now but I want to make sure that everyone's informed of what's gone down and what the plan is.
On day 210 upon returning to normal shape and size Gaila went to whine at Skokan about Gebo not being the most ideal place for a species that's dependent on light. Somehow the conversation turned from how to get herself out of there to how to get everybody out of Gebo. Between them they have negotiated that if Gaila can get all of the candidates to apologise for the hacking that went on in the Temple and offer an excellent argument as to where they can go that they can be trusted then they'll be allowed to go.
Hence, Gaila told the other candidates as such.
The current plan is for all the candidates to sign a written apology that HG is writing, with Jane arranging her own apology from the candidates that were directly involved with the hacking. Candidates that agree to sign it will be mostly left alone until Skokan shows his face in a week's time. Ones who won't sign it however will be getting persuaded.
For obvious reasons I don't want anyone OOCly to feel forced to make characters make choices that wouldn't be normal for them, but they are going to have a lot of people harping on at them about how they need to sign it. Please shoot me a PM, PP on plurk or leave a message here if they intend on not signing so we can figure out how to work around it.
Some characters are trying to find out information about other places in this word that they can go and I fully encourage people to team up their characters to try and find out some places they can go. There's no strong plans either way at the moment for who/what/how that's going to be presented though.
But bear in mind that while it's 1 IC week that equates to 3 OOC weeks! This could be a fantastic opportunity to make some new CR and band the candidate community together. Feel free to use this post to say what your characters are going to be doing and use it as a plotting post!

Claire's bunch
Heading up the campaign to get them out of Gebo. She'll be coming around the men who aren't willing to sign and trying to use her pheromones to influence them to sign. Obviously I won't be doing this without OOC consent but if you're up for it, let me know.
Glinda
Will be trying her level best to help out with the 'find a place to live' effort. Probably going to offer to 'assist' people into the right decision with her magic but won't be overly happy with it.
Pasha
Isn't too happy about it. She'll be signing the apology and just keeping her head down. Definitely not an active supporter of apologising to the Nysgods.
Sophie-Anne
Will need to be forced into signing the apology. Doesn't like the whole idea of this and is frankly happy to stay in Gebo.

JUST SO Y'ALL KNOW. Gaila has tasked Bowtie with working on the "where" part of things. And it just so happens he and Handy had already been working on a project that would let them discover more about the "where" of the Nysgod realm. We are currently waiting for info from the mods about this, but when we get it, there'll be a post!
Which isn't to say that people who are feeling proactive shouldn't go ahead and do things in the cause of finding a place for the candidates to settle down. Just know that potential info is forthcoming!

Has already decided to sign the apology, though he's not getting involved in any of this any more than he has to. He thinks that most of the people who're not signing on principle are dumb, because it's the fastest way to get them all out of the Nysgods' shit lists. Whether or not he actually wants to apologise isn't relevant. But he's also keeping his opinions to himself, and is pretty well keeping his head down so he can gather as much information as possible.
He's also debating having a personal chat with Skokan upon his arrival, because Malfoys are always up for covering their own asses over everyone else's.
Spencer's boys
Definitely convincible to do it for the sake of Gaila's existence. But I think I'm going to need people to volunteer for this. Will also depend on what Katniss thinks about the whole situation. If she's not for it, he won't be either.
Spock
This green-blooded hobgoblin will need to be forced. The more I think about, there's no argument that could persuade him to do this from a logical perspective. If you come up with one though, please let me know. Otherwise, I think this actually gives a good opportunity for some negative or love/hate CR on the part of someone somehow forcing Spock to do it. Ping me in PM or Plurk or AIM or just respond here if you have ideas. I'll be brainstorming too -- but Spock might actually just, well, not sign for many reasons if I can't find a situation that I'm okay with for him, character wise.

Now as HG wasn't here when the hacking went down, she only knows that via heresay she's gotten by talking to others. But she is also the mistress of vague specifics in how she words things. So once I write this letter for her (and I will write out a letter, just possibly once Christmas festivities are out of the way and my emotions are done being destroyed by the Doctor Who Christmas Special
SO NOT READY FOR THAT OMG), I'll share it so people can read it. While a focus of it will be an apology worded only how the great H.G. Wells Mistress of Word Play and Grand Metaphors can word it, there will also be a focus for needing to be moved and highlighting the usefulness of the candidates as a whole.So that is my basic plan for how HG's letter will be, I just need the time to actually sit and focus on writing it, then discussion with Gaila about it, then opening it to be signed by those who will actually sign it.
...and I think that's all I have. If I think of something later, I'll add it in.

Devi She laughs at the idea of apologizing for anything but she's already given Dorian the go ahead to sign for her. It makes a more level playing field if they're above sea level and frankly both Angel and Devi miss the sky.
