And now... the rebel alliance.

Good Morning/Evening!

So for the new people, I'll just break this down a little. A couple IC days back, people who refused to work finally experienced the consequence of being out of money. So Maul made an announcement about resistance and revolutions and such and has since then gathered some people and slapped together a community of Anti-Nysgod rule. (pst, rebellion(tm)) Anyone who is not involved but wants to get involved certainly still can as this is likely an ongoing Thing. He's not entirely hard to miss and most people know his Opinion on this matter and can direct you to him.

Mainly, people who refuse to work are locked out of their room with no food and no water. A good portion of these people are in the park in the rec building. Some might come and go in order to serve their needs properly. Do as ye all please, really.

HOUSE recently began spearheading a Hunger Strike since people are going hungry anyway :P

DEVI is holding back on vandalism because of GAILA's apology Thing.

ADDENDUM: KURT has offered / will be serving up some meals to those that are protesting but are not interested in being hungry and crabby.

Basically, here's what's happening.
1. people are in the park being hungry and homeless and probably crabby.
If you want your character to like, throw crap at other people or steal crap because they're hungry and crabby than by all means. Just check to see what would happen with the Mods because I didn't think about that.

2. Hunger Strike as per rallied by House.

3. Attempts at sabotaging things at work. Like, making things wrong and such.

NOW. Here is what I have found out from the mods.

Wizera told me the following:

(On people in the park:) The people in the park not going to work will be relatively undisturbed. They'll get some confused looks from the natives of Gebo, but by and large, the Gebo people will just assume it's some kind of weird mortal ritual and they won't do much.

That said, if they find someone passed out from hunger, that person will immediately be rushed to the hospital and hooked up to IVs. They'll be released with a stern warning not to do something so foolish.

(On "sabotaging") What you need to understand is that the concept of sabotage doesn't really exist in the Gebo mindset. If a machine breaks, they fix it. If a person breaks, they fix it. They won't accuse anyone of doing something wrong. Not if they don't see it. They'll be concerned and a lot of the citizens will end up working longer hours to make up for the lost productivity, but they won't be up in arms.

(On natives to Gebo in general) These people are either the mates or the children of former mermaids, sea nymphs, and sirens. Consequently, everyone has an obsession with shiny things and they've figured out that the more efficient they are the more shiny things they can make. Since they love making shiny things so much, work is life for them. And they don't necessarily understand the concept of someone not wanting to work.

These people are not cruel or mean. They're simply alien, with a completely different mindset. The tl;dr of it is...they don't understand you people at all and your very weird priorities.

So that's the long and sort of it folks.
I'm around if you have questions or comments. C:
