Updating the Mod Comm

Hey everyone.

Just had an issue where a player didn't realize the garden on the rooftop was an illusion, but that is, in fact the case.

As a reminder, Nysgod illusions are multi-sensory, so they will look, feel, smell, and taste real if they are done well. But, for example, if you decide to stuff your character full of a poisonous shroom, they might only get stomach pains as a placebo effect but will in fact not be able to kill themselves.

Anyway, I would like to add this information somewhere to the mods' page (along with reiteration of the fact that there is not rain or sun on this part of the planet), but before hitting it up, wanted to know if anyone else had questions they wanted answered or information they thought should be available in the FAQ or in a "Life in Dagaz" section?

I think part of the problem (not really a problem. situation? issue? kerfuffle? confusion?) is that a lot of the things we need to know are the things we wouldn't think to ask. Or maybe that's just me. But, like, it never occurred to me to ask if the garden was real. I figured we'd have been told if it wasn't. I also didn't know there was tea and whatever else in the purple room. Cause the description for it only mentions the nutrient paste and I went ahead and assumed water because people need to hydrate and cups/bowls cause they'd need something to put it in.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we could think of the questions we've probably asked them already. Like when I wanted to know what kind of records they had for the player and one of you told me about the stuffy music and operas. Or wanting to know what kind of books were in the library and being pleasantly surprised to hear about the ones on magic.

It's the stuff we wouldn't think to ask that we really need to know. So just any odd little quirks of the waiting room. Cause given how small their world is right now, I think it's pretty safe to say that the entirety of the waiting room has been searched already. So is there anything else like the garden being an illusion or the other supplies in the purple room? Like... idk, locked rooms or floors whose dimensions are off or strange noises or flickering lights or pictures where the eyes follow you or weird drafts. (Apparently my mind has decided they are trapped inside a game of Clue.) Anything that a PC might have found by scratching the surface while exploring one day?

I think having that sort of knowledge available OOC right from the beginning so we can figure out when it would be discovered IC could be really helpful.
