This is your Captain speaking....

Hello everyone! This is Beth with my third character. We'll see if this is my last character.

I would like the time to appreciate how awesome he is.

This guy in case you haven't seen me gushing over him on plurk.

James T Kirk from the new Star Trek universe. He will be making his official appearance on day 226. He will flirt with all the ladies and get hit by the ones who know him personally. He totally deserves it. Canon wise this is before his five year mission. Having him show up earlier did not seem like a good idea to me since Into Darkness gave him a lot of character growth.

Sorry Lady Bones but now you have TWO Captains to worry after. Isn't that nice?

Add me on plurk at [plurk.com profile] chappaiguardian if you want to plot. Heck add me if you jut want to talk. I love talking.

So we should probably talk about that horrible scene in the movie that I want to forget exists and how it affects our characters, huh?

Yeah, well with my canon update, Christine never had anything to do with that. She was on the ship the whole time, from the 2009 movie onward and was never run off by a one night stand with Kirk.

I think it does a disservice to TOS Christine, who was never run off the ship by anything: not her fiancé dying, not her feelings for Spock and his rejection of her, nothing. It makes no sense and the writers should step on Legos for doing it.

That's fine. While normally I just go with "it never happened" with my Christine, meaning she'd be an alternate Christine to your Jim, I can agree that she is the type to want an emotional connection like that after a disaster like what happened in the first film. At that time, she also would have been a commitment-phobe herself, so she would readily agree to not wanting a relationship either. The only difference from what we saw in the 2013 movie would be that she didn't get emotionally shattered by Jim and run off to the outer frontier to be a nurse. Hell, she was already a nurse.

So if you agree, let's go with one night stand after the events of the first film and then Christine works on the ship throughout the 2013 film. Oh, and she was in the hospital helping Bones with the serum and bringing Jim back, but he could have never seen her there if you prefer.

Oh goodness yes. The Enterprise will be happy to see him and will sleep in his bed half the time. Though she would not be adverse to the blond slumber party with both of her Captains.

Pardon Bones while she goes and drowns herself in mint juleps. And possibly makes a booty call or two beforehand
