"Woah..."

Was the main reaction, spoken by the young Chinese-American girl that stood staring on the beach. The waves rolled onto the shore, the sands were pristine white. It actually was quite beautiful at night, though the sky - not Earth's sky - flickered with that odd lightning now and again.

Jubilee pushed her sunglasses up onto her head, nestled in her short black hair as she stared at the lightshow flickering through the alien sky, mouth partially open as she tried to figure out where she was and how she got here. But rather than freak out and be frightened, she actually seemed....excited.

"This is so...cool!" She grinned suddenly. "But you call that a lightshow? How about this?" She raised her yellow gloved hands. Suddenly bright lights and colors flashed all around her with pops and fizzles - like a miniature fireworks show in itself. She spun in place, laughing for a moment.

She paused, hands raised, while the lights fizzled and sparkled. Damn - she was kind of hungry. "Where can a girl get a grill cheese sandwich around here?" She groused, not expecting anyone else around to hear her. She would have to figure out something to eat and soon. For now though, she was enjoying herself and keeping herself entertained.

Kate is on the beach harvesting coconuts. She's on the beach at night because the humidity and effects from the beach are not quite so intense. It's a better time to collect what foodstuffs can be found there.

She has found a total of four coconuts and has stuffed them into her black messenger bag when the new light show catches her attention. Not the one in the sky, the new one. Kate slings the bag over her shoulder and approaches.

"I'm afraid to be the bearer of bad news but there aren't even cows for milk, much less cheese." No wheat for bread either but hey, one piece of bad news at a time.

Jubilee jumped a little, her plasmoids ceasing with a final pop and a sizzle as she turned to look at the woman. She huffed a sigh.

"Well that sucks..." She quipped before shrugging a little. "Where am I anyway? I was starting to think I was by myself!" It was clear by the tone of her voice that she was glad to have company.

"You're not exactly by yourself, there are several of us here." Kate approaches Jubilee. "It's called the Wyld. I know that doesn't mean much to you but think of it a bit like a merging of points and a dumping ground."

"Huh..." Jubilee huffed slightly, mulling over that a little. Being with the X-men she had seen a fair share of freaking wierd shit - but this was completely random and well...it kind of caught her off guard. At least she wasn't alone.

"How did we get here?" She asked finally. "I'm Jubilee by the way. Nice to meetcha!"

[katerrifically]

"I will give you the short version. You were brought here by the Grasp to be a mate for a Nysgod prince. There was a conflict of some kind. Those brought in as marriage candidates were given the option of signing an apology which the majority did. Another Nysgod did not like that. We were set to be moved to a new area of land to start our own community but that was hijacked and we were stranded here. There is a rod in the meadow, please do not touch it."

Yup, that's the short version.

"My name is Kate."

"Wow, Kate - I think I need to write this down!" Jubilee joked before grinning a little. "That is both crazy and intense!" She looked a bit taken aback at the prospect of being brought in as a marriage candidate for some prince!

"Jeez....marriage?" She uttered finally in the slightest of dismay. "Have you seen the guy? Is he even remotely cute?" She shook her head. "Not that I want to marry him. I mean holy crap! I'm not ready for something like that!"
