Well. This ought to have been very alarming. John Watson had been in many tight spots before. None quite so... literally. The giant maw of the plant was closing around him, and something in the goo he was covered in was making it damned hard to get out. Not because it was sticky, or slippery, or anything like that. No, because he really, really wanted to take a nap.

"Is anybody out there?" he called out weakly. "I'm trying very hard to care."
