The Unicorn /Amalthea | The Last Unicorn

A delicate, ethereal looking woman picked her way cautiously through the meadow. She was pale in skin tone, with a long curtain of white hair that tumbled down her back to her waist. Her simple gown was in tones of purple and lavender. She was just below average height but she was willowy and slender. There was something unnatural about her. In the way she moved and held herself. This human form wasn't her normal form - and it showed in the way she held oddly still between moments of deliberate and careful movement. She appeared both curious and skittish, radiating gentleness.

Her eyes were drawn to the castle at the far side of the meadow, and she studied it quietly, wondering where she was. This was not her forest...and this was not the castle of Hagard. It wasn't a location that she recognized from her travels. Her eyes were deep pools that held both innocence and ageless wisdom. A melancholy sadness. Remembering.

Suddenly a rumble was heard more than felt that vibrated the air. The woman quickly turned, looking this way and that but could not find the source in the peaceful scene around her. It sounded like....no...it couldn't be!

Whirling, the woman tried to run, despite the fact that there was no visible sign of danger. Her long white hair streamed behind her as she sought a place to hide from that horrible roar - completely caught up in instinctual fear. She stumbled, her gown getting tangled in her legs as her bare feet whispered in the grass. There were other smaller dwellings near the center of the meadow - and though her first instinct was to avoid the humans that may be living in them, her experience taught her that maybe just maybe she would find help.

It didn't stop her from being terrified.

Door had, not so very long ago, found herself in the same situation. Right now, she's wandering through the field looking for something that wants to be opened, wants to let her back into London Below to find the Marquis.

She carries with her a small kitten, perched on one shoulder, and one arm is in a sling.

"Are you all right?"

Door has many favours to make up for today.

She had been looking behind her in her mad flight forward, not noticing until too late that someone was there amidst the long grass. She cried out when she tumbled into the other woman - clutching on instinctively as she struggled for balance on her two legs. Her violet eyes were wide and staring, not noticing the sling or the small animal at first.

"Do you hear it? Do you?" She managed in a soft tremulous gasp, clearly terrified and shaking from head to foot. The growling roar that had echoed and vibrated the air was silent now. A glance behind told her that there was nothing there, nothing had been. But...why? How?

Door, being rather tiny and thin, nearly tumbles to the ground, but having the panicky woman, and a kitten depending on her staying with both feet planted on the ground, she manages to stumble, but not fall.

"Ow!" She doesn't avoid responding to the pain in her arm. As for the kitten, it digs it's claws into her shoulder. "Watch it, Supper." It's the name of the kitten.

"I'm sorry, I don't hear anything."

She caught her balance, relinquishing her hold on the woman at the sound of pain. Holding almost unnaturally still, she glanced around them again, violet eyes wide. Sure enough, there was silence, save for the rustling of the grass in the breeze.

"I am sorry. I...-" She murmured faintly. All she could do was hope she was mistaken.

Turning back, still rather shaken and holding her arms about herself, she got a better look at the other woman. "You're hurt." She stated simply, a tremor in her voice betraying her earlier fear. The white haired woman had a delicate face - a strange star like symbol on her forehead.
