This Charles doesn’t like the fact that she duped him into finding out that he doesn’t have his telepathy. He’s figured out she’s perceptive as all get out, and definitely brave enough to even call him out on his bullshit and lies. As much as it angers him, though, he finds it endearing that she’s concerned and worried about him and he’s already surmised that she’s very smart, so he feels the extra need to be careful around her.
I look forward to when his memories come back and they can talk more. I can see Kate as being a very important person to him.
At this current juncture in time, Charles sees Draco as someone he really wants to avoid. Being that he doesn’t remember the wizard, and knows he should really gives him a sense of guilt, which he feels he needs to repress to get through everything he’s going through.
The situation in the hallway did uncover that Draco is stubborn, and determined, but with an element of compassion. A part of him understands the attraction he might have to him on a friends level (since no one has told Charles they they were more than that).
His thoughts on the circumstances of his life? Charles believes it all to be one very long nightmare. It’s a fucking shit show, let’s just say that. There’s so much going on his head right now that a freeway looks like a damn parade compared to the things he’s going through. It definitely feels that the end is nowhere in sight, which is why he’s relied on drugs to numb it all away.
Ugh, poor Charles. Really, it's probably a good thing that no one's mentioned the 'more than friends' bit; I can't imagine the guilt / other assorted emotions that could come from that would help overly much if he already wants to avoid him.
Hopefully he manages to away with the nightmarish elements eventually. He deserves a little quiet time. :c
It's not that he wants to avoid them, but they seem fairly small in comparison to the bigger, more life altering changes he's faced. More so now that he's in a place where he's pretty sure, given time, people will find out the self destructive path he's taken. He's definitely not proud of his addictions, but up until now, hasn't had to worry about anyone caring (Hank being the one and only exception). Now all of a sudden people do? It's taken him for a loop.
Because I'm horrible: Charles' thoughts on Erik/Raven and also does Charles believe they can change the 'future' for Erik and Raven and himself that he's seen in this place?
It’s a situation of “If I don’t think about it, it’s not there” kind of mind about Raven and Erik being “involved”. Honestly though, he’d be willing to accept it better if Erik was any other guy. You shot him, left him on a beach, took his sister and took a different path. He’s scared you’ll do the same to her. So.
As far as changing the future, he wants to believe it SO MUCH, but he’s unsure. It’s still so early in the game, and there’s little in the way of optimism and hopefulness about things being anywhere near what they were. There’s definitely a trust issue, and will be more of one once Charles realises Erik has the helmet (which pre-coma!Charles knew he had, but not this one).
