There was a sort of trouble that came from being whisked off to some new place that Gwen didn't really understand, even if Peter was still there, and it was mostly that when she went to buy things? She didn't recognise a lot of the stuff there. (And that didn't even begin to get into the fact that she didn't have currency.)

"So," she started, already trying not to laugh at the gift she'd brought him from the last dock the ship stopped at. "What do you think?"

It was, for the record, some sort of medieval attempt at bug spray. And totally a joke.

It was a really good thing Peter had a sense of humor, because that gift could have been taken to heart. Only, he wasn't exactly sure that's what it was given the bottle looked like something out of Alice and Wonderland. All it was missing was the little tag that said 'Drink Me'.

Dark eyes drifted easily between the bottle and Gwen's face, but there was no smile. No, there was a little confused pinch between his eyebrows.

"It's not perfume, is it? Are you telling me I smell bad?" Peter said, lifting an arm to take a whiff of himself.

She'd make sure he didn't try drinking it. Unless he really liked the idea of being ill from various chemicals. Or maybe it'd be all right after all - it was a more medieval approach to things, and that probably meant it was more herbal than anything else. She wondered if it actually worked.

Gwen just laughed, affecting a serious look after the bout passed. "Terrible. I'm amazed no one's said anything to you yet, Peter. Maybe they're just being nice because we're so new." There was only so long she could hold that, though, and a smile broke through again. "It's bug spray. In case you find any bug-based supervillains out here. Just don't let it fall into the wrong hands."
