Hard Choices Suck
Hey guys -
So, here's what's going on. Life is taking me in a crazy direction and I need to par down on my RP life if I want to be able to stick around and at least do a little bit of it online. And with those hard, adult choices comes needing to make difficult decisions.
And sadly, this is one of them.
I'm going to be stepping away from Throne of Shadows and I'm very, very fortunate that Wiz is allowing me to do it in a way that will give me a way to not have to leave 100% forever... more like 99.9%.
Here's how it's going to go: Marcus and Peter are being dropped. I haven't really had the energy to get them both re-acclimated to the game and world, so they should be able to slip out easily. The ship decided to have some fine supernatural men for dinner that night.
Then there's Ben, which is probably the reason I have put this off as long as I have, and this is the .1% of me still being in the game in some capacity.
Ben will not be eaten by the ship. Ben is actually going to disappear. No one will get to see Ben disappear. He literally just kissed Pasha and Lissa on the cheeks, went off to do his normal to-do's on the ship... and poof. You will not be able to find him anywhere, and he will not be responding to the ear buds.
Yes, folks, Ben is being absorbed into the metaplot. How? I don't even know. I just trust Wiz and honestly, I kinda think it's awesome. I'm also going to love seeing that his absence for a few game weeks/months will cause with the rest of you.I did mention I'm evil, right?
Be prepared for a very pissed off Russian mother, folks. Just warning you now.
I'm hoping to try and come back after the holidays when my life should hopefully settle down, pending of course when the metaplot can feasibly spit him back out - hopefully at the worst time ever to cause the most angst possible. Since that is his best talent, right?
I will still be following the community on Ben's journal, and will still be on plurk to chat with all of you. I'm also available for slow-time PSL/meme crack threads if you need a fix of any of my muses (Ben, Peter or Marcus). I will also be dropping all threads in my inbox, so handwave them however you feel fit or hit me up in comments to resolve them.
I love this game and everyone here, and this has been a very, very hard choice to make. But I hope that this break until the new year will bring me back with a new drive and I can devote the time and energy to this game again that not only my muse deserves, but you all deserve from me and him too.
