Event Wrap-Up

It's Day 102, which means the DIY Grasp event is at an end. Don't worry if you haven't had a chance to participate yet, we're still happy to have all the backtagging in the world!

On the morning of Day 102, the rift in the sky above the backyard mysteriously seals itself. And there's help! Edwin and a legion of Seers arrive to come to the rescue! For the most part, all they do is assist with getting rid of the stragglers among the monsters. The city, however, is a wreck (good job breaking it, hero). Many buildings have been destroyed and some of the mortal guests of the Nysgods are dead. There's going to be a lot of clean-up work ahead.

Casey is gone. No one knows what happened to her. Anyone investigating this will learn only what was written in the opening narration of the event. There will be a sidequest dealing with Casey's disappearance. Details will be posted this weekend.

In the meanwhile, it's time to clean up the mess, find out if your friends are still alive, and probably get drunk.

Canon Update for Red!

Hey, everybody! So as the subject title says, I'm giving Red a canon update, taking her from the latest episode of Season 2 of Once Upon a Time: In the Name of the Brother. I doubt I'll be putting anything in her tags that will spoil anybody for that episode, though.

What this means ICly, is that Red was one of the fairytale people cursed to live in Maine for 28 years without aging or knowing who she really was. She was Ruby, and worked at her Granny's B&B + diner. Then the curse was broken, and though they weren't returned to their world, they all remember who they really are.

So personality-wise, she's pretty much the same, though she prefers to be called Ruby now and will gently correct your character. Yours doesn't have to call her Ruby if they don't feel like it, but it's what she prefers now. Plus, hey, she knows how to work a microwave now, so she won't burn down the kitchen. Yay?

She also isn't as attached to her red hood anymore. I'll have her bring it back with her, but she's fine with changing into a wolf during the full moon because she doesn't black out or attack people anymore. So you may see a friendly gray wolf running around every 28 days. Please don't shoot her?

Okay, so now onto how this works. According to the mods, Red will volunteer to test Skokan's Grasp, so a helper will whisk her off the Dagaz. She'll be gone about an hour, and when the Grasp fails and brings her back, she'll be canon updated to Ruby. She'll be leaving a note on her bed that basically says that she's testing this for all of them and they've all been great friends, yadda yadda. But since she won't be gone that long, IDK if anyone will even find it before she's back. Let me know if anybody wants to find the note before she's back!

Anyway, I'll post a network post tonight where she's returned to Thurisaz and lets people know that Skokan's Grasp still doesn't work correctly.
