Hello, everyone.

It's been a few weeks since we put out the poll regarding the future of the comms. Unfortunately, between Kally's busy schedule and my medical issues, we haven't been able to look over the results just yet. However, we realized that we've left many, many metaplot questions hanging. Questions you may want answered. Therefore, this post is the Great Metaplot Reveal! Here, I'm going to post our "metaplot bible," the document that we used to guide the game.

Answers await you below the cut. Be warned, there's a lot of information ahead. And it doesn't even cover the entire three and a half years the game was active. We welcome players to ask any additional questions that they don't see answered in the comments below.

How sad is it that I still have to look up the code for this? )How sad is it that I still have to look up the code for this? )

The NPCs

Major Nysgods

King Mithos (Wizera) → The reigning monarch of Dagaz. He’s been in charge since time began and people love and respect him, more or less worshipping him as a god. He has final say on all matters and generally takes a pretty hands-on approach to ruling. That said, he does much of his work from a distance. Mithos is an intimidating individual, but he is generally seen as fair.

Queen Thea (Kally) → Mithos’ true love, who has been the queen at his side for a very, very long time. She was once the wife of a tribal chief, from a treetop village in the mortal realms, and as such, left behind mortal descendants. Thea is a very visible figure. She is known to be warm, kind, considerate, and all around just a pleasant person.

Lord Thierry (Kally) → Mithos’ right hand man. Thierry is a kind, considerate man, who does a very good job at hiding some severe pain. The woman he loved ended up bound to another Nysgod and Thierry has never quite recovered from the pain of that. He is a dutiful husband, but he does not love his wife.

Lady Blaise (Carly) → Thierry’s wife and Thea’s sister. Thea and Blaise both became Nysgod together, so that they could spend eternity with one another, but Blaise never bargained for the fact that she would fall in love with someone who could not return her love. This has made Blaise into a very bitter, unpleasant woman. She often serves as an adviser to newly-turned Nysgod mates.

Uri (Wizera) → The Head Carver. Uri is often the judge of legal cases in Dagaz. He is intimidating, but very reasonable. As a Carver, his appearance is much older than most Nysgod. It saddens him very much to see Nysgods, many of whom he created, carving themselves out when they lose their mates. He himself has a mate named Anastasia.

Skokan (Wizera) → The royal valet. Skokan has been charged with the task of finding Tristan a new mate. He takes this duty very seriously, to the point of being a zealot. Skokan’s mate would not come with him to Dagaz, and this has left him a hollow shell of a man, who’s only love is Dagaz itself. He will maintain the status quo of his beloved homeland at any cost, beginning by ensuring that Tristan assumes the throne, as planned. He manufactured the Grasp and has lied about it malfunctioning. No one can question this lie, since no one else knows how the Grasp works. He's also aiming to frame Quinn as a villain and will occasionally kidnap candidates (dropped characters) and leave a toy in their place.

Prince Tristan (Kally) → The son of Mithos and Thea who is next in line to the throne. Tristan is a fairly melancholy individual, more so than normal lately, since the death of Mia. Having been trained from birth to be the next king, he is a skilled diplomat, vastly intelligent, and worldly.

Quinn (Kally) → The banished cousin of Tristan. Quinn is charming, witty, intelligent, and at his core, very good-natured. He very much disapproves of the current situation in Dagaz and is trying to help Skokan’s captives escape. Because of his status as an outlaw, he is often blamed for the bad things. In truth, he has the best of intentions.

Jaan (Wizera) → A young Nysgod and friend of Quinn and Tristan. Jaan is a revolutionary thinker who doesn’t really know how to keep his mouth shut. Since he’s never done anything illegal, he can’t be banished, but a lot of the older, more traditional Nysgod find him to be radical and dangerous. Jaan has a happy life outside of Dagaz with his mate. The reason he’s so angry is because he has seen so many of his friends carve themselves out because of the laws about only being allowed to imprint once. He is out to change all that.

Minor Nysgods

Edwin (Kally) → Tristan and Quinn’s friend, who is the head of the Seers’ Guild. Edwin is very soft-spoken and shy. He is kind to everyone, but on the whole, a very ineffectual person.

Blake (Carly) → Edwin’s mate. In contrast to Edwin, Blake is a very boisterous, friendly individual. He hosts the best parties in all of Dagaz.

Robin (Wizera) → Robin was a friend to Tristan and Quinn. He helped Quinn to change his symbol. Many years after Quinn was banished, Robin fell in love, but his mate was already married and happy. To end his pain, Robin had himself carved out. For now.

Hesiod (Carly) → An exiled Carver who took his staff with him when he left. Like Jaan, he’s a revolutionary thinker. Unlike Jaan, he’s not a very nice person. He might possibly be gunning for Uri’s position.

Major Mortals

Casey (Wizera) → A human girl, with some possible demon blood, Casey is the second mate of Quinn. She is curious and intelligent, but clumsy when it comes to social interactions. She is an alchemist by trade and enjoys experiments, although they often end in explosions. Although she was initially repulsed by Quinn, she grew to love him and is now helping him to fight the good fight in defense of his homeland. She was unknowingly chosen to serve as an escort to the PCs.

Adriana (Kally) → A Hylian girl and friend of Casey. Like Casey, she was chosen by the Nysgods to ease the transition for the PCs from their old lives to their lives with the Niflehim.

Minor Mortals

Egime (Whoever needs to) → Quinn’s first mate, a priestess who loved him dearly, but refused to become Nysgod. On her deathbed, she made Quinn promise her that he would find another mate.

Mia (Whoever needs to) → Tristan’s imprinted mate, who died recently.

Lucien (Kally) → A mortal man who once accidentally traveled back in time. With his knowledge of modern-day Nysgods, he inadvertently became the father of their race, teaching them how to create female Nysgods.

Insa (Wizera) → Lucien’s cousin and Tristan’s lover.

The Plot

Phase One

-Skokan is kidnapping people, bringing them into Dagaz as potential mates for Tristan. These are the PCs. Tristan is not eager to choose a new mate, so the PCs are kept in a “waiting room” with assigned roommates.

-Quinn, Adriana and Casey are working to try to rescue the PCs. As an outlaw, Quinn has attained a villain status. Much like the Green Hornet, he is blamed for everything bad that happens. In reality, he is only trying to help.

-Quinn employs many tactics to rescue the PCs. They manifest as “games” which cause different things to happen.

-PCs are allowed to start learning levels of Nysgod magic: 1) Able to tell when a Nysgod is reading your mind, 2) able to push a Nysgod out of your head, 3) able to close your surface thoughts, 4) able to close deeper thoughts, 5) able to tell the difference between a Nysgod illusion and something real, 6) able to see anything being hidden by an illusion

-PCs are allowed to start learning levels of Nysgod tech: 1) They understand all the basic functions of a Netbox. 2) They can create private channels on the network, such as the current Waiting Room channel. 3) They can create holograms. 4) They can create un-hackable posts on the Network. 5) They understand the mechanics of basic Nysgod technology and can work repair on broken equipment. 6) They can begin incorporating Nysgod technology into their own creations
-The candidates are bounced from Niflheim city to Niflheim city, gathering information about the different factions. Eventually, Skokan is Carved Out (to return later), letting the PCs fend for themselves.

-Eventually, Quinn and Casey are caught. They are put on trial for their crimes. The story of Egime is revealed.

-Tristan decides to attempt to pull a Quinn by changing his own symbol. He is punished by being turned into a mortal. He goes off to live a happy little life away from Dagaz.

Phase Two

-The PCs ought to be sent home, since Tristan is no longer around. Unfortunately, Skokan (alive again) is so furious about the events in Phase One that he is nowhere to be found.

-The PCs are given their own village and are allowed to create their own buildings, set up businesses, and generally begin some of their own plots.

Phase Three

-Skokan suddenly returns and demands that Tristan be restored. He probably gets the PCs to help him with this petition, since getting Tristan back sooner means they can go home.

-Tristan’s UNHAPPY. Therefore, he’s no closer to choosing a mate. Something is very wrong. Some PCs who care to investigate will learn that while he was mortal, he took up with a mortal woman, Insa, and fell in love with her, but as a Nysgod, he believes he is still biologically compelled to be in love with Mia.

-At this point, players are allowed to app Nysgod OCs of the second generation.

Phase Four

-News reaches Dagaz that Insa’s pregnant. This throws the world into complete chaos.

-Skokan eventually decides that the baby must die, because it is completely screwing up the line of succession. His attack is a failure and he is exiled from Dagaz. Unfortunately, without him around, the PCs cannot be returned home.

-Hesiod starts re-carving dead Nysgods in order to start a revolution. They take over the village. The good guys form several parties to take it back. One to distract the Nysgods, one to try and grab Hesiod’s staff, etc. The party that Casey leads is soundly defeated and she is mortally wounded, so Uri carves her in to save her life. The bad guys are eventually defeated but now Robin and the other re-carved Nysgods are alive!

Phase Five

-The aftermath of Hesiod’s rebellion is addressed. Casey’s gone to crazy town, since she was carved in so hastily. She was probably carved in so quickly that something went wrong, which is why PCs can still remember who she is.

-Tristan makes it clear that he intends to become mortal again. The line of succession is up for debate, with Team Quinn and Team Robin. Robin, however, wants Tristan to stay heir, in the hopes that he’ll change the laws, allowing all men a second chance at love (neither Quinn nor Robin could make such a law as it would be viewed as self-serving and kings cannot be self-serving).

-Through Edwin, Robin learns that Adriana was supposed to be his soul mate, but he didn’t see her in time.

-Robin becomes completely unbalanced, slowly descending into madness.

Phase Six

-Robin is named heir. He starts doing very bad things.

-Tristan becomes mortal and goes away.

-The history of Mithos, Thea, Thierry, and Blaise is completely revealed by Edwin, in a desperate attempt to get Robin removed from the throne and Quinn named heir.

Phase Seven

??? Something with the Polarians maybe? We'll see if we actually get that far.

Congratulations, players. It's officially been one year of IC time. While no candidates have been here that entire stretch--that they remember--the Nysgods are well aware of the fact that their little experiment has gone fiercely awry.

In an effort to earn a little goodwill among the candidates, throughout Day 365, they will be leaving each candidate a small gift. These will be gifts that are fairly innocuous and entirely sentimental, things like mom's old necklace, a photograph from the eighth grade, or a stuffed animal of your favorite cartoon character from home. It can be personal or it can be generic. It won't be anything that would make your character sad (the Nysgods are working very hard to avoid that). It's also not going to be anything functional (weapons, scientific equipment, etc.).

If you need some examples to get your brain jump-started, here are a few ideas of what they're going for:

-Steve Rogers gets his catch-up-on-the-last-few-decades journal
-Buffy Summers gets a photograph of Joyce and Dawn
-Clark Kent gets his favorite tie from home
-Caroline Forbes gets a bottle of her favorite color of nail polish
-Hawkeye Pierce gets a set of martini glasses
-Lt. Uhura gets an old pair of earrings that she lost on vacation on Risa

We are not going to be policing what you choose to have your PC find. But if you have questions, feel free to ask them here.

And don't forget, you have an opportunity to speak with the infamous Quinn himself.

The event post for landing is here and it may be pushed down on some people's lists, due to being posted earlier but kept invisible.

Welcome to Mannaz Hall, the newest setting for this portion of the metaplot. It's located in the capitol city of Niflhiem, Dagaz. You can read more about the Hall itself here. Below are some FAQs:

So we're back in Niflheim, then?
You bet we are. Purple skies and all. Those who were around when the game was first set in Dagaz will be able to notice some small differences in the distant skyline. For example, some of the taller buildings have disappeared, lost to the meteor showers. As has the Waiting Room. Although the city is clear of debris, the attack definitely left its mark.

Can we go into the city of Dagaz?
At the moment, no. However, if a consortium of characters (at least five) want to come together to figure out a way to convince an NPC (any NPC they like) to let them take day trips into the city, we would encourage that. Please log it out. Get to know some new muses.

I noticed the Egime is still available for use. What if my character doesn't want to leave?
Your character is more than welcome to stay on the Egime. Keep in mind, it's running at half power and not being restocked by the NPCs. But certainly, no Nysgod will drag anyone out.

Would we be able to access the mysterious eighth and ninth decks?
As with getting into Dagaz, if a group of five or more characters decide to get together to try and pry the doors open, we will allow it. We will ask you to log out the planning and make sure to include a magic expert, an engineering expert, and someone really strong, but you can work this combination of skills in any way you want. Feel free to use this post to do some plotting.

Hey, Quinn's around in that arrival log. Can I talk to him?
There will be a thread posted for interactions with Quinn, with specific directions. Please check back in the here for more information.

What's the deal with the trial?
For this portion of the metaplot, an ongoing side-story will be the trial of Quinn and Casey. Candidates will be allowed to call witnesses and question them on the network. Witnesses can be NPCs or PCs. See the setting page for more information about the process. PCs will be influencing the outcome of the trial and the next steps of the metaplot, so please don't be shy about jumping right in. Also, please keep in mind, the trial will not be the only metaplot taking place. I repeat: THE TRIAL WILL NOT BE THE ONLY METAPLOT TAKING PLACE. There will still be plenty for you to do, even if you don't want to be involved in the trial.

What's the deal with the cursed library books?
The cursed library books are primarily to facilitate player plot. Players are encouraged to come up with their own curses. As with the docking events, we will ask you to speak to the mods and write up a full plotting post with FAQs before posting anything to the OOC comm, but we do encourage you to be as creative as you like.

Can my character contact NPCs by network?
Yes and no. Your character is welcome to try to contact any of the NPCs, but mileage may vary, depending on if the character is in Niflheim or not. Contacting someone like Uri or Adriana will be much easier than trying to contact someone like Jaan, who may be out of town, or Casey, who may be out of her mind. Talk to the mods if you have questions.

You suck at FAQs so much. I have a bunch of questions you haven't answered.
Well, that's rude. But, at any rate, you are welcome to ask them here. And to use this post as a plotting post, if you so desire.

Good morning, players. I'm leaving this post for any questions players might have about the current event. As stated before, this is just part one of two.

A few quick points:

-The elevators and network are still functioning
-Characters may get as injured or as uninjured a you like
-There is no "safe zone" on the ship, but if you want your character to just hunker down in their room, you are welcome to do so
-Anyone familiar with space travel might equate what's going on to a ship trying to fight against a tractor beam

Feel free to post any other questions here.

Part two will go up on Sunday, on what would be the end of Day 363.

Hi everyone! So a LOT of you probably have no idea who I am.

Introductions:
I'm Kally! I co-founded Throne of Shadows along with Wizera and played a variety of NPCs (Tristan, Quinn, Adriana among others). And then right around the time the Wyld plot started, I dropped off the face of the earth for a variety of reasons.

But I am easing my way back in!

I am behind and catching up, but for now, I will be helping out however I can and slowly transition back into modding. If you are someone I've never met, feel free to add me on Plurk (I'm "bontastic") and say hi! I'm friendly.

Also, I will be bringing back my PC, Cordelia Chase. Bonnie is not returning with me as god knows I will be slow enough as is.

So...hi everyone :) Excited to play with some of you again and to meet those of you I haven't!

Hi, players.

As you may have noticed on the calendar, there is a big metaplot event approaching. The setting change is almost upon us. Day 363 (March 20-22) will see an event that will conclude with a big metaplot reveal and some other surprises.

Just so you're aware of how things are going to be structured, the event will be broken up slightly over the course of the three OOC days:

March 20-21: Part One (will take place on the Egime, over the course of an hour or so)
March 22: Part Two (will take place in the new setting)

This will be done primarily to help manage the workload for the mods. Keep in mind that this is an extremely back-tag friendly game, so if you can't tag-in on March 20-21 for the first part, you can still join in the fun after.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. We're not going to reveal the details of the new setting yet, but watch the comms for more information.

Hi, players. Happy Friday the Thirteenth.

The metaplot is unexpectedly rearing its ugly little head today. If I may direct your attention to this post a moment.

Kurt is attempting to contact Casey. His channel is locked, so no one can hear what he's saying. However, as the first tag-in indicates, the replies are coming in across every single Net Box on the ship.

What does this mean for you? Every character who is awake can see the replies coming in from the NPC journal. They don't know who they're coming from or who they're in response to, but they are visible to the public.

Make of that what you will.

This is occurring on Day 351. Characters may try to respond to the NPC, but since they don't know who the NPC is, they'll have to make open posts, which anyone can jump in on. Mileage will vary, depending on what characters do or say.

Hi players.

I just wanted to get back with you about the impending setting change. It looks like we're going to be aiming for March, which is appropriate since that's the month of the game's third anniversary, although the big move will probably happen well before that.

I'm going to be working feverishly this month to get all the information together. Thank you so much for all of your cooperation. More information will be forthcoming.

With love and affection,

Hey there, hi there, ho there players.

Wizera here, with a quick question for everyone.

The metaplot has been rearing its ugly, little head again lately, and soon, it will be time to move the game into a new environment. But how soon is a bit of a complicated question. In addition to all of the moving pieces, I wanted to know if there are people out there, still hoping to run a docking event. If you are still interested, please drop a comment to this post. Comments are screened, so you don't have to worry about spoiling any surprises. Just drop a note that says something like, "I'd like to run one before we move on."

I just want to get a sense of where people are, so I don't step on anyone's toes with the metaplot.

I'll leave this post alone for a week, just to see what's going on. And once I know, I'll start talking to individual people, in order to try to figure out the pace of the metaplot.

Please do not feel pressured either way! Like I said, I just don't want to spoil anyone's fun!

The following characters have been selected to be picked up for questioning on the last day of the plot:

Mary Shannon and Kurt Hummel
Bert Allgood and Noah Miller

A log will go up later for these groups. Please plan accordingly and do not toss your characters into any logs set on the last day.

Just what it says on the tin, two quick announcements, one IC and one OOC.

IC
Any character who encountered Casey while she was wandering around the ship in her delusional state is in for a bit of a surprise. On the morning of Day 311, they are going to wake up to discover a puppy in their room. It can be any breed you feel your character would like. All the puppies are male, however. They seem friendly and they seem very, very real.

The ship may get a little smelly.

OOC
Wizera is going to be out of town from October 18 to October 26. She will still have internet access, but it will be a little spotty. Arma will be holding down the fort.

Hi players.

Just a quick reminder that as of Day 308, the Egime has left the City of Sin. Any citizens of the City who were on board have returned to the City. The Egime is traveling through whatever it is the Egime travels through (could it be Jell-o?).

Also, any new weapons brought on board the ship from the City have turned to dust.

Don't forget to submit your AC for September!

For those of you with pending apps, thank you for your patience. They will be processed soon. We did not want to bring in new characters during the event.

Hi, players.

Just dropping a few minor updates. The next docking event is on the calendar for the end of September (Day 305-307). More details will be coming in a few weeks. It's going to be a massive plot and there are a lot of moving pieces going into it, so please be patient as plans are finalized.

In the meanwhile, there will probably be some more metaplot drops happening before then.

Also, for the next couple weeks, from Day 296 to Day 302, the candidates might notice something strange in the corridors of the Egime. There appears to be a little dog running loose. It's a male St. Charles Spaniel, about one year old.

Feel free to have your characters run into the dog. It's very friendly and likes to play. If your character tries to harm it in any way, however, they will immediately black out and wake up an hour later in the cargo hold. And yes, this includes trying to eat the dog.

Ask any other questions on this post!

Okay, players. The time has finally come. The player contact list has been completely re-done.

This is still very much a work in progress, orchestrated by someone (it's Wizera) who is completely inept when it comes to html. I am going to ask you to be very patient with me as I work to fix the wildly out-of-date page.

At this point, I have transferred all the information from the pre-existing page to the new one. If you notice any errors, please tell me about them by commenting to this post.

If you don't see yourself listed on the new contact page, that probably means you weren't on the old one. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page and I'll get you up.

Again, please, please, please be patient with me. Html is not my strongest suit.

Hi, players.

Just wanted to share a brief head's up that the information on the When You Arrive page has been changed to reflect player action.

Momo has graciously volunteered Draco to serve as the welcoming committee to new arrivals.

This will not impact characters currently in play, but I wanted everyone to know!

You may now return to your regularly scheduled shopping sprees and/or door raiding.

Also, just a reminder that you are welcome to bring any and all docking event ideas to the mod team. The next event after the current one will be mod-run (it's already on the calendar, more information forthcoming), but we're happy to accommodate player-run plots.

Hello, players.

Two very quick announcements, one about IC stuff one about OOC stuff.

IC Stuff
As the sun begins to set on Day 263, and all of you are stirring from your wonderful dreams (thanks a lot, Boyd, Anakin, and Draco), another lightning storm will rip through the heavens. As with the last one, the astute observer might notice a pattern that repeats several times, in the rolls and short strikes of thunder:

One long roll, six short strikes, two long rolls, three short strikes, one long roll, two short strikes, one long roll, three short strikes, two long rolls, five short strikes, an two long rolls.

Have fun with that.

OOC Stuff
I am aware that a lot of people are becoming frustrated and tired of the Wyld setting. I want to reassure you that your feelings are known. And I want you to know that new settings are currently being written. I would like to ask for your patience because 1) I want the next setting to be determined based on player action and 2) I am only one small person with a day job, a very time consuming evening avocation, really, really bad html skillz, and, as those of you following my plurks know, a totally insane family.

A new setting is on the way and a lot of player action has set the next phase of the metaplot in motion. Please, please bear with me while I put everything in place and I know that I understand your frustration and I share it and I will do everything in my power to shake things up as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Hi, ho there players.

Apologies for the onslaught of mod posts this week, but there's a small announcement we'd like to make, regarding AC. Namely, our lovely and talented modlet, Arma, is going to be taking over as our AC Goddess. She will be in charge of the process going forward. So make sure to sacrifice small animals to her and bring offerings to her shrine.

In the interest of transparency, we'd also like to clarify the AC process a little bit more, as there's been some confusion. Here's how it works:

-On the first of the month, we put up the AC post, asking you to reply with your activity for the previous month
-On the ninth of the month, we close AC and check to see who has responded
-After checking responses, we look at who hasn't responded and scan the comms to see if their characters have had activity; this is why you should always tag your posts!
-If we cannot find activity for your character, you will be called in to meet with the mods about the situation

It has always been the aim of the mod team to run Throne of Shadows as a player-friendly, close-knit community. Our AC process is meant to reflect this. It's simply become a lot of work, which is why Arma is going to be taking over.

Be nice to her. We're watching you. Yes, even you. Don't think we can't see you doing that thing.

You may now resume your regularly scheduled playing. And don't forget to vote in our Plot Poll!

Hello, players.

Today marks the second anniversary of our "little game that could." As such, it's important to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for agreeing to come play in our sandbox. What people remark about TOS, again and again, is that what makes it special is the player base. Each and every one of you has been a powerful force contributing to the game and it's community.

Thank you.

Thank you for sticking with us when things got rough.

Thank you for your trust and friendship.

Thank you for being the wonderful and unique people that you are.

And now, to avoid being overly saccharine, here is a special anniversary gift. As some of you know, custom 2048 games are making the rounds. So here's one for the Throne of Shadows NPCs.

Game on.

Good morning/afternoon players.

First of all, today is the official start of Day 244, so the Wyld Storm is officially in full swing. I know this goes without saying, because we're a really nice group of people, but please remember to be respectful and communicate to anyone whose memory you'll be getting. We want to maximize the angst fun for everyone.

In other news, it looks like there is going to be an ATP this weekend. Normally, I ask you to have all your submissions in by Friday, but due to the late notice, I'm extending the deadline. If you'd like someone added to our ATP, please drop the name and canon into this post by Midnight, CST tonight. Once again, I'm so sorry for the late notice.

Going along with the ATP, if someone could volunteer to be on standby to post it tomorrow (6pm CST), in case neither Arma nor I are around to do it, I would very much appreciate it.

And...with that...

GAME ON!!!

Hello, players! As you already know, the game is moving! The situation the candidates will find themselves in, after the move, has been built entirely around the results of the signatures. For the record, over 75% of the people who replied to the OOC post replied that their characters would be signing.

On March 1, a narration and event log will go up, explaining things in greater detail. For now, here are some FAQs about what your characters will be doing in the time leading up to the move.

What can my character pack?
Whatever your character can carry (or convince another PC to carry for them). The Nysgods and NPCs will not be helping characters to carry anything. So, no, you can't bring your bed from Gebo...unless you want to haul it.

You mentioned that bed from Gebo...can my character steal stuff?
Absolutely! The people of Gebo will probably chalk up missing equipment or inventory to a miscalculation and pull extra shifts to compensate for it, as long as they don't see the stolen equipment or see the actual theft. In other words, keep it quiet and keep it hidden. No. No bed. But take as many uniforms as you wish.

Hey, my character got one of those handy-dandy carpet bags that's bigger on the inside. Can they take more stuff than they can carry?
They can take what they can fit into the bag. The mods are not going to police the limits there. We're all intelligent adults, we're going to trust you. A character with a bag could certainly barter favors with someone who needs packing room, however. If your character does not have a bag and needs something to pack in, they will be offered a regular suitcase. Nothing magical about it.

Do I need to declare what my character is packing?
No. We're not going to mod or police that. But it will be helpful for you to have a sense of what your character has with them.

Do characters still need to go to work?
No more than they ever needed to. They are more than welcome to continue working, if they'd like to save up credits to buy extra stuff, but no one will force them.

How will the characters be moving to the new location?
Nysgod magic. All characters will be rounded up into the same area, the day of the event. This does mean that all characters will be together. If your character has been avoiding someone else, they still can. We figure the area will be pretty crowded, so it'll be easy to duck out of sight. Again, we're going to trust you.

What if my character wants to stay in Gebo?
Obviously, the Nysgods can't force a character to leave. That said, we will strongly encourage you to find a reason for your character to go. There will be no moderated events in Gebo once the game setting changes and travel between cities is more or less a no-go for PCs (at present, subject to change). You will have exceedingly limited opportunities for RP if your character stays behind.

What's the new setting going to be like?
That's a very good question. Unfortunately, no characters can seem to get much of an answer. Skokan is vague at best, mostly referring to it as "empty" and "unsettled" and "a plane." OOC, we just don't want to ruin any of the surprises too much. Because there are going to be surprises. A lot of them. Seriously. Trust us.

Hey, Skokan was talking about something along the lines of "Carved Out." What the heck does that mean?
Carving Out is the Nysgod ceremony that ends a Nysgod's life. You can read more about it here. This is all common and public knowledge, readily available to anyone who asks around.

Hold up! My character is totally new and has no idea what's going on!
What a great CR-building opportunity. Talk to the PCs and handwave what you wish from the NPCs.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaait! I still have questionsssssssss!
Ask them here. Once again, we are trying to get away from using plurk to answer mod questions.
