Mod Question...

This is just a general survey. Are there any types of events you'd like to see more of in the game? Crack events, temporary alterations like the vet events, small group events like the Dollhouse, choose your own adventures, more metaplot access?

Anything else you'd like to see? Things like the game calendar and contact list have happened because players have noticed things they'd like that the mods don't always think about! Just a general forum for sharing anything that you'd like more of or that you think is missing. We want to make sure you guys are having a good experience. <3

I'm getting kind of burnt out on crack events, to tell you the truth. Mind-alternating, deaging, turning into an animal, etc. -- almost all games have these events, sometimes multiple times over. Heck, one game I'm in is currently having a deaging event, which I'm not participating in, but a number of my CR is.

I'd prefer more events that move the metaplot along, either with the whole game, or signups with a randomizer to pick people/teams to do stuff. I understand stuff of that nature requires NPCs usually and I wouldn't want to demand too much of your focus on those sort of things, but every few months for such plots wouldn't hurt, would it?

What would "choose your own adventures" be? Is that us making up plots, or more like coming to you guys and saying "I want my character to go on a mission with some people" and you give us a scenario to play out and let us know what the result would be? Because I like the idea of that. Exsilium has a thing where you can sign up with a small group for independent missions back in time, and the mods give you options. Here's their page if you want some ideas. It looks like with the recent mod change that they haven't really started it yet, but it looks promising.

Anyway, the only other thing I can think that needs added (and the game calendar is the best thing ever, thank you) is to add a section in the FAQ saying how you do canon updates, since I'm about to do one soon and I had to ask you guys how one goes about it.

We still definitely want to be a metaplot heavy game. I think part of the thing is that little events that don't seem to matter much now do end up tying into the metaplot (this current event in Thurisaz, for instance, is tying into a volunteer event next week that will reveal some information).

Choose your own adventures would kind of be like those books. "Thurisaz is on fire. Help is immediately needed in the hospital, the town council center, and the weapons factory. Where do you go?" which leads to other choices, etc. The end result is based on the choices characters made. (disclaimer: that was a random example, Thurisaz is not about to go up in flames)
