May Summary

Hi, everyone! Here’s a little month-end summary to recap what’s happened at the game this month for anyone who’s missed anything. No AC this month, but in the future, that’ll be here as well.

This is also a good place to ask any questions, ask for any NPC interaction, plan anything you’d like on your end.

Please also note, since this was not explicitly stated elsewhere, that for every three days of real time, one day passes in game. Also, we have a lot of fun things planned, so let's get posting, friends! Invite your pals to join.


Month End Summary

• Characters arrived in the city of Dagaz. They were informed that they were brought in as potential mates for Prince Tristan, the Nysgod prince.
   
• Characters met Adriana and Casey in the Waiting Room, two non-Nysgods who were placed in charged of them.
   
• The characters were given a communication device that fits into their ear, keys to their rooms, a set of extra white clothing. The only food offered was a nutritional paste, but Nysgod Jaan came by with food for the characters and a letter for Adriana.
   
• Characters were told that ball would soon be happening in which they would meet Tristan. If he didn’t claim them as mate, they would be allowed to return home.
   
• Characters woke up one night to lights being off in the Waiting Room and weapons by their bedside. A few characters found out someone was in the Waiting Room, but no one was actually seen. After a few hours, the lights came back on and weapons were confiscated. Adriana remained very hush about the whole thing and Casey was nowhere to be seen.
   

Nysgods

At this point, the following information is known about the Nysgods:

• They are a pale haired race. Only men are born into the race, women are turned.
   
• Dagaz is the capital city.
   
• They are capable of changing form and creating very impressive illusions. Their shadows cannot be hidden, however.
   
• They are very, very long lived.
   
• The Nysgods are pacifists. Weapons and violence are strictly forbidden.
   
• They fall in love only once in their lives, on some sort of soulmate principle.
   

IMPORTANT CURRENT INFORMATION

Your characters will begin having nightmares. Not naked-in-public dreams or running-from-a-faceless-monster dreams. They will nightly be facing their worst nightmares, in a very vivid way. Your characters will explicitly remember every detail of their dreams upon waking. Scared of a loved one dying, of becoming evil, of being locked in a room wit ha certain villain, of dying a certain way? Your character will be experiencing this at night. Suffice it to say, tensions are running high.

Your Character's Worst Nightmare

I was going to do another post about this soon, but this is as good a place as any. It will be relevant in an upcoming plot so mods need to start preparing.

What is YOUR character's worst nightmare? If there are several things that would qualify, go ahead. Go into as much/little detail as you like. If we have further questions, we'll ask.

Being facially disfigured or scarred so much that nobody wouldn't find her attractive ever again. Anything that's vanity based pretty much because vanity is such a big part of who she is as a person.

The other is being left without her pheromones under the power of a cruel master and not being able to escape.

Red's would be all the people she loves or cares about being chained to trees in front of her as she discovers she's not wearing her enchanted cloak and the full moon's out. Then she changes into her werewolf form, rips them apart, eats some body parts, and the next morning she transforms back to see the carnage.

- Arkasha (his lover from canon) getting placed in a renorming center and committing suicide.
- Being exiled from the Syndicates.
- Being sent to a euth ward.

So let me tell you about The Beast.

The Beast was an urbane, middle-aged man with soft, boyish features who wore a grey suit and had "three or four too many" fingers on each hand. He was strong enough to bat an Old God across a room with the flick of his wrist. He could unhinge his jaw and bite hard enough to break bones.

On Eliot's first trip to Fillory, the Beast was responsible for the mutilation of two of Eliot's best friends, and the death of one.

The specifics of what happens within the nightmares can vary - you all know how much I love to write dream sequences, so I could probably come up with a dozen scenarios if necessary - but no matter what, they would feature the Beast in some way.

Oh, you're free to do anything you like with the nightmares for awhile. If you want to have him discussing one somewhere or write up a narrative of his, that's a-okay.

Mods need this general information for an upcoming plot, as nightmares will...be a bit of a theme for awhile. /rubs hands together

But yes, feel free to do anything you like with the nightmares in the meanwhile, you don't have to wait for us to do anything (if that was unclear).

Worst nightmares are things happening to her loved ones, specifically Prim, Peeta and Gale. But there's also health doses of being back in the games, body horror related themes, lack of control, etc.

Re: Your Character's Worst Nightmare

....see keywords. For this guy, the worst of the worst is World War One, or as he still calls it, the Great War.

Trapped in the trenches under constant bombardment, choking to death on Mustard Gas or other chemical weapons, making a run out into no man's land while being mowed down by machine guns. FUN TIMES.

There will also be some senseless fragments from the Napoleonic wars that killed HRE, that Weimar won't really be able to make sense of. A blonde man in blue, on a horse, bearing down on him for a few split seconds, or the abrupt sensation of being impaled.

Trigger Warning for Rape:

And lastly - and if you want to skip this part entirely for plotting purposes that is totally cool - the Rape of Belgium wasn't just metaphorical. Now, Germany was the rapist, but he was also a virgin before then, and he was kindasorta coerced into it by his bosses and officers. He's still absolutely responsible for what he chose to do, but he was conflicted about it at the time, and he's still fucked up about it; he represses it pretty hard. If he has nightmares, some of them will be of himself, of the worst things he did to her.

Probably variations on the situation she was just dragged out of.

Fears: Having all of the people she cares about gunned down, then being imprisioned alone in a hospital/asylum run by the Cylons, hooked up to a breeding machine and forced to give birth to human-cylon hybrid monster babies. XD Definitely the forced motherhood thing.
