[Angel had set back to the Library when he couldn't sleep, content to allow the admittedly vast library consume his attention. He sat there with a bottle of scotch and a glass, table next to him laid out with stacks of occult books, a few left open and on top of one another.

Every time he sat here like this, his mind wandered back home. Back to the Hyperion where the rest of his friends were. He hoped. Wesley always popped in his mind when he researched and he realized how much he'd missed his 'Rouge Demon Hunter'.]

[It was almost as if he'd been summoned. In truth, Wesley had gotten there the same way everyone else had, and not, in fact, brought on by Angel's thought. Still, he had instinctively made his way to the library. Where he was currently stuck in the doorway, staring at the profile of Angel at a table, wondering anew if this was a dream. He'd had the thought, and dismissed it, but now, seeing such a familiar sight, it seemed impossible that the explanation could be anything but that he'd constructed it from his own mind. Angel in a library was, perhaps, the thing he most wanted to see right now, and so he did. Which meant none of this was real.]

Oh thank God.

[Had he said that aloud?]

[Angel glanced up at the noise, doing a double take on Wesley. He'd gone mad. Or maybe it was the Temple repaying Angel's sometime ludicrous challenges against it.]

Wes?

[His voice got louder after that, feet dropping to the floor and book discarded on the table as he stands up.]

Is it.. really you?

[Wes looked skeptically at him, exhaling a little in a rather proper little snort.]

Of course it's me. It's whether that's really you that's concerning me, at this moment.
