Aware of the current state of his company's undress, Merlin blushed a little, but he wasn't really as skittish as he used to be. Consorting with faye and fairies and all manner of magical creatures that had no use whatsoever for clothing had adjusted his sense of propriety a good deal.

Still, he does avert his eyes out of politeness and smiles at the shadows in the water.

"Where I come from, a merlin is a kind of bird, a falcon. It also means fortress of the sea." And because of him, it looked like his name would come to mean 'advisor'.
