2-ish.

Most of the time, it didn't seem to matter which universe they came from. Spock was still Spock regardless of gender, and Sulu was content to fall into the established rank hirarchy that star fleet demanded of it's officers. In her own universe, her interested tended towards the other half of the ship's power couple.

But Uhura wasn't here. Male or female.

And Spock really did have great hands. She'd seen them in various stages of action. Even had a chance to witness the infamous nerve pinching technique. So, yeah, Sulu couldn't get the idea of Spock's hands out of her head.

Which was probably the reason why, when they found themselves in this new room, she had reached out to capture one of his hands. Casual contact wasn't, strictly speaking, against regulations. Though slowly bringing the Vulcan's knuckles up to her lips was probably crossing the line. Sulu pressed a soft kiss to his hand and looked up at the Commander with a silent question in her eyes.
