I remember when the emancipation proclamation was announced. I was in south Georgia at the time. People were very cross, but it was a good thing, people needed their freedom. All men are created equal was not limited to race or gender. I firmly believe the congress that wrote that bill used men in the biblical sense as in the whole of the human race... and I am now rambling. However what i meant to say is I am glad to know such practices have not come back.

Understandable, not everyone is open minded as they should be.

You could say that, I have mostly just watched the world move forward. [ he offered her a smile then.] I was fifteen years old when the Revolution broke out, if that gives you an idea of it all.
