And in the meantime, there is Carroll. [The book he's been reading gets tilted up slightly: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.]

Which is seeming more and more appropriate by the day, really. I wonder if old Lew ever got kidnapped by Nysgods, or if it was all just the epilepsy.

I wasn't under the impression their kidnappees ever ended up going back. So it was probably the epilepsy. But it is rather a mad tea party here though, isn't it? I've heard nonsense, compared with which this would be sensible as a dictionary!
oregoniandionysus: (that's a puzzler)

It certainly feels like time is standing still, most days.

[He gives her an appraising glance. She mentioned both 'magic' and 'Texas,' which makes it a distinct possibility...]

Brakebills?

MIT, by way of Hard Knocks, actually. [With a name as ridiculous as that, it must be a magic institution.] I don't think I've heard of that one, but it might not be local to my universe.
oregoniandionysus: (that's a bit embarassing)

Well, it was worth a shot.

[He looks back at the book, but it's obvious he isn't reading it anymore. An amusing thought occurs.]

...but the Ivy League spans the multiverse.
