First things first, I am going on hiatus. On Wednesday, I leave for a wedding out of state. I am maid of honor, so throwing a bachelorette party, and also in charge of creating a slideshow and presentation that I should have been working on for months but put off. So these next few days are going to be busy.

They are made MORE busy by the fact that straight from the wedding, I will be leaving for Florida for a conference I am also presenting at. Guess who’s also been putting off work she needs to do for that? (Spoiler alert: It’s me) Suffice it to say, I am busy until I leave and then busy after I leave so consider this my official notice of hiatus.

Bonnie will be auto-piloting a bit but I’ll probably be doing some phone tags here and there. However, I can’t handle both characters and an opportunity presented itself to do awful things to Cordelia that also somehow perfectly work with her canon.

If you don’t really care, I can sum up the rest of this with “Cordelia should have listened to her own advice” and this image:

For those who want more info: Cordelia slipped into Flagg’s head during the mindscape plot and got trapped in there. Her body remains in bed, where it was, quite comatose. For those who know Angel, Cordy basically goes into a coma about once a season, so this was approximately her time to take her yearly hibernation.

However, I’ve also been planning to canon bump her for awhile so I’m using this opportunity to do so. After Cordy doesn’t wake up for awhile, the Nysgods will take her away to Dagaz for more focused medical attention. When that doesn’t work, they’ll try shipping her off in the Grasp and sending her back home. This works great! While she’s home for two years or so, she experiences:

- Amnesia
- Possession by a higher being
- Getting knocked up by Angel’s teenage son
- Giving birth to a fully grown African American woman who eats people and turns the world into her cult
- Another coma (see, I told you it was canon)
- Coming back for a day and finding out all her besties are now running the world’s most evil corporation
- Dying

Following all these fun times, she’s going to expect to go work for the higher powers (because, let’s be honest, she’s had a rough five years and kind of deserves some sort of reward).

No go.

Instead, she’s back in the Niflheim she only vaguely remembered and suddenly in love with Angel again and drat, weren’t we past that? Also, who’s Bert, again?

Oops.

SO. Up until November 7th, Cordy will be hanging out in her room in a coma. After that, she’ll disappear until I return from hiatus, which should be about November 10th or so, depending on how life goes. I will still be around here and there for mod duties and Bonnie-ing, and will be reachable on Plurk, if slow!
