"Candidates? That isn't much different than tributes." She said with a small scoff. It only added further to her certainty that the games never truly ended. The arena changed, but it was still the same rules. Only one could be the victor. Only this time, it ended with marriage.

It made her think of Finnick. Of what Snow made him do. "I won't." She vowed. "I won't be given to this prince. Not by anyone."

[She looks over, giving him a look that's somewhere between incredulous and horrified.]

Wow, yeah, no, never complaining again.

[Never the subtle one, Caius just smiled - or, smirked - as his gaze eventually made it's way back to her face and then to the side where she motioned to.]

Nope. Healing is about it. Unless you want to count my culinary skills on top of my elusive pen selling powers. Sense of direction is decent though.

You going to leave me on my own now? Or, can I talk you into a cup of coffee?

Well the last two were for an engagement and then the wedding that followed, so there's really no telling.

[Angel smiled back, lazily and almost coyly, just a tuck of one cheek.]

I doubt it. It takes a lot to get me going.

[He was confident. Her eyebrow twitched in amusement at the welcome change.]

Since you've already coaxed me from my side of the hedge, I guess that all depends on how well you talk. I've got a weakness for coffee, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Clara's poking around the administrative center too, trying to understand the type of people in charge. The weekly changing rules seem silly to her, especially since they're such harmless things like humming or chewing gum.

Spotting another candidate, she heads over to him, voice lowered like they're secret agents on a covert mission.

"Learning anything?"

Sarah couldn't help to chuckle at her reply, "I'm Sarah Jane Smith. What's your name? You're quite funny."

She motioned her to follow, taking her down the hall. "There's places to eat, a few places to relax. And no shortage of work to do, unfortunately."

Possibly, but... Well, I doubt it. I haven't been here terribly long, but long enough that religion isn't extremely important here on daily living. I don't recall anyone going to any services or setting anything up.

But I wouldn't rule that out totally.

[Sarah wonders briefly where Clara had seen her, but decides that's not important now.]

Could it be for transport?

You know, I totally guessed that about you. [Caius turns slowly around, pausing momentarily for her to fall in beside him and begins to walk] And now that I know what one of your weaknesses are, finding the rest should be pretty easy.

"I did travel in the TARDIS! I sometimes miss my bed there - it was so comfy!"

Sarah had grown so accustomed to the ear pieces, that she didn't even notice Leela not wearing hers. "Many don't trust it, so you're not alone. Infact, it might be part of the reason why we're here now and not at the Temple where I originally arrived at."

"But they know if you have it out. And there's some people here who don't speak English with it gone. It's like the TARDIS in that aspect - it translates for you."

Sarah pauses, "About the Doctor..." She looks away from the cat and focuses on her, "He's changed; his face is changed here. A regeneration where he's died but cheats death by changing his body. I've seen him do it once before and he's done it again sometimes after leaving us... Or tell me, did he wear a scarf and offer jelly babies to you?"

[Devi fell in stride easily, tucking her hands into her pockets with a small chuckle.]

I doubt that. So far you've only gotten what I've given you.

And it's a weakness everyone oughta have. Or tea. An acceptable alternative.

Which is obviously taking them a while, if they only bring a handful in every time. There's definitely a less time-consuming way of doing it, and it probably involves less dissent, too.

There's plenty of acceptable alternatives. I don't believe a person can have only one weakness. Any less than ten and I'd have to wonder if they'd ever lived.

Oh, I agree. But having them and having them readily available for the picking are two different things. I didn't say anything about not having them.

[She was well aware of her weakness, and wasn't challenging fact, just his assumed ability. Devi was hardly easy.]

I could and have. I don't bother drinking often so when I do, it's a lot.

She tips her head, and gives him a gentle look.

Tara almost smiles before she drops into the seat beside him, letting her head rest against the back of the seat.
