[Dr. K is drunk enough that it takes her a second or two to realize she isn't staring into a mirror - though, the extremely strong British accent coming out of her doppelganger's mouth does speed the process along.]

Well, now. I suppose it's somewhat reassuring that the Nysgods find me amazing enough that they decided they needed two of me.

[Kurt says as he sees the pretty girl looking around at all the scenery the tunnel had to offer. It was a beautiful sight and one Kurt often came to admire. He gives the girl a friendly smile.]

[This is incredibly surreal to Helena, though the American accent made her think of Emily Lake. Though a smirk curved her lips at the first comment.]

[She extends her hand and shakes Dr. K's hand firmly.]

H.G. Wells. [Because yes, she feels it is necessary to start in on that particular fact right away.]

[it takes her a second before she realises she's being spoken to. Her eyes snap to Kurt, slightly wide as she takes in his entire appearance, relaxing just a little when it seems like he's just another candidate trying to be friendly. She flicks a wave of red hair back over her shoulder, her own smile slightly tight.]

It's...something, that's for sure. If you like fish, at least.

Well at least that took care of the cat. Though it made Leela miss K-9's company, even if she rarely understood anything he said. Really, he didn't need to be so technical in his responses! Simple answers were good enough.

"Oh, you're welcome." Leela blinked slightly given she hadn't really done anything except sit there and get bored. The cat just found her, apparently. But hey, at least cat and owner were reunited now.

"You are not disturbing anything. I am finding this talking picture incredibly silly and uninteresting. I was going to get up and find something else to do."

Caius moved, sure that if someone was watching from somewhere above the labyrinth, that they were providing some very amusing entertainment. He turned right, around the hedge and arrived at another decision. He stood there a moment before calling out something different.]

[Kurt was about to answer that and then considers it for a minute.]

Wow, I guess I have. I didn't really think about it being so long though.

So how long exactly is 'so long'? Since I've been here maybe two hours now. Possibly three, if you count the time it took for those two girls to give me the run down on everything.

[Good, fuck Marco Polo. His question gets a laugh and she decides that maybe floating up the wall to get a look out over the maze didn't really count as cheating. If nothing else, it might give her a better ear of which way he was. Devi responds just as loudly.]

I don't know, never met Marco Polo. I heard he wore a bitchn' hat though!

[Since leaving the temple, Angel didn't have the same route or paths laid out in his head and now spent a lot of time idly roaming about the Gebo Compound. Every once and a while something interesting might happen along, but Angel wouldn't hold his breath.

Not that he had to breathe anyway.

The tunnel was always a nice spot to wonder through. He spots the Lydia and his pace slows. After a pause in his footfalls, he walks up to stand near her and look at the fish.]

Bet this isn't something you see every day.

"Good. I guess I'm just kinda lost." He smiles abashedly. "Sorry."

[she pauses for a moment, merely eyeing the fish a moment or two longer before flicking her gaze to Tall, Dark, and Handsome over here. Little bit old for her, though; she's sort of reminded of Peter, but in a slightly less creepy way.

[Lydia's smile is slightly tight, and she crosses her arms over her chest before she goes on:] But then again, I was getting sort of sick of what I do see every day, so I suppose the change is much needed.

[He glances down at her as she speaks. Good, she hasn't hit him or accused him of anything yet. New faces tended to do that.]

All right. [her eyes flick back to the fish.] So you actually know what's going on around here, even if you're just somewhere in the middle. What exactly aren't they telling me?

[Yeah, there's only so much Marco Polo'ing he was willing to do, but he was that much closer to her because of it. Maybe even on the other side of the hedge and up a little.

My boyfriend turned into a giant killer lizard, and half the lacrosse team are werewolves. [said dryly. She won't hit him unless he gives her reason to. The tunnels are big enough that she could probably just walk away from him easily enough anyway.]

Far, far too much. We're only scratching the surface of all that we think they're not telling us.

Yeah. They're pretty bad. [but he does get the first proper smile out of her yet, as she flicks her hair back over her shoulder again.]
