It's more likely the day that he finally started thinking for himself and made that realisation on his own while watching them get tortured in his house. The day that he denied knowing Harry Potter upon the Golden Trio's capture and arrival to Malfoy Manor is pretty close, though. He just doesn't deal with that kind of thing well, and can't properly respond to it.
Oh, he's still definitely a snob. But he's grown a lot, and I'm super proud of him. Hell, some of his best friends actually are Muggles now, and though he sort of wonders how much hell he'd catch for that back home, he finds that it's not that different from befriending wizards.
