It's raining, it's pouring...

Okay guys, Dagaz is experiencing a meteor shower. You may ask, "What does this mean for my character? What can he/she/it do? What's happening to him/her/it?" A good questions! One we'll do our best to answer here.

First of all, the meteor shower will last for two days, in game. This means that, yes, for two days straight, meteors will be raining down from the sky. They're focused primarily on the city itself and while the big, important, public buildings, such as the Palace and the Seers Guild (and noticeably the Waiting Room), have some shielding, everything is taking damage. Safe shelters will start to spring up underground. Feel free to make up basements of shops or private residences where your character could squat. The Nysgod population will be more than happy to take in strays until the disaster is over. Curfew will not be enforced until the deluge stops.

Now about those meteors. There are several different kinds:
Regular old meteors: These are big hunks of rock. They hit things and break things and that's pretty much what they do. Taking one to the head would be ill-advised.
Infested meteors: These hunks of purple rock are crawling with strange maggot-like creatures. They enjoy burrowing into skin to lay eggs. It's extremely painful and uncomfortable, although not fatal.
Infused meteors: Strange chemicals have been infused into these green rocks. If touched by bare skin, they immediately release a thick, green fog that goes to a person's mind, causing them to have powerful hallucinations. What your character sees is totally up to you, but the odds are it's pretty horrifying.
Warping meteors: Anyone who touches one of these blue meteors instantly finds themselves pulled through shadows and dropped off smack in the middle of Dagaz, in a public fountain, no matter where they were when they touched it.
Amnesia meteors: Touching one of these small, impossibly smooth yellow meteors immediately causes a person to forget who they are. The effects are reversed by touching it again.
Babbling meteors: These red rocks almost sound like they're talking after they hit the ground. If you touch one, your character finds themselves unable to have internal monologue. Anything that they think, they immediately say. There's no filter. The effect will wear off after an hour or two.
Sniffling meteors: Achoo! Wait, did that pulsating, gelatinous rock actually sneeze? Weird. But touching that meteor causes your character to experience flu-like symptoms: Shivers sneezes, sniffles, sweating, vivid dreams, all for about twenty four hours.
Wizard meteors: Touching these deep, dark, smooth black stones is pretty much like breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder, or saying "Macbeth" in a theatre. For the next twenty four hours, it's Murphy's Law. Bad luck follows your character like a raincloud, infecting them and anyone near them.
Mutation meteors: These dark brown meteors are all severely misshapen. And touching one of the will twist your character around, depriving them of a sense or causing a mutation. The effects are reversed by touching the same rock again.

So, what can your characters do with these meteors? Anything you want them to. Powers work against the rocks. They're rocks, after all. You can decide how you're hit, what you're hit with, and if you want to be hit at all. Feel free to use this as a plotting post. You are not required to post all action into the opening log for the event. You can make your own logs as well. The network will also be functional, although you are welcome to have your broadcasts cut out at random, if you want.

At the end of the meteor shower, all characters will be gathered back to the Waiting Room. Anyone who needs medical attention will get it. All of the meteors will mysteriously disappear once the shower ends.

Would anyone be interested in, say, being trapped with Spike or Tony during an attack? or be subject to either their amnesiac, babbling or influenza'd selves?

so he's not avoiding her? but they haven't really talked?

idk if having them have to deal with it would be better, or if tony is better until we know how that turns out

thoughts?
