Mirror Universe Plot (Days 143-145)

It begins with something simple. Someone’s researching away in a lab, as they are wont to do. With a rather magical piece of advanced technology. And something goes... awry. There is an explosion; but not the usual sort of destructive explosion. No, this is an explosion of space-time, fairly small and contained, but still far-reaching enough to do some damage.

And that damage is done to the neighbouring room of mists. Something shifts there, and a wormhole opens; the explosion also temporarily causes the room to exist in multiple places in the temple at once (to enable multiple characters to find it). A handful of people find said room in their wanderings, there’s a flash of light as they walk deeper into the mists and POOF! Hello Mirror Universe. Or Original Universe, in the case of the Mirror Universe counterparts.

The originals are stuck in the Mirror Universe and vice versa until folks figure out how to switch back. Which is remarkably simple, in the end. Just get all Mirror Universe counterparts into the room of mists at one time. The trouble comes in trying to find the room again, and then gathering all the Mirror counterparts in that one place at the same time.

[Edit for clarity] The plan is for most of the interaction to be the Mirror counterparts in the Original Universe. The originals will be seeing the Mirror Universe and all its counterparts and differences, and there are bound to be shenanigans while they're there, due to the nature of the Mirror Universe, of course.

This post is both for plotting and volunteering for your character to be Mirror Universe’d. I’ll start a sub-thread for each.

Mirror!Elena is going to be a vampire that gives no fucks. Not necessarily emotions off, but she became a vampire because she wanted to (and probably manipulated a Salvatore into it). She will be coming through to the other side to terrorize her very human brother who is suddenly not a member of the Five. But she is the anti-Elena in every way - no compassion, no loyalty, no love.

Mirror!Dean is, well, a serial killer. Their life gets compared to that on the show, so instead of hunting the monsters, Dean is one. He's also probably deluded enough to believe he's doing the right thing. Also has a demon!brother, who is much less a puppy than those who have met the demon puppy previously.

As far as who is going where Original!Dean is staying while original!Elena is going, which means their mirrors are doing the same. I want all your plots.

Mirror Darius is a ~~storm trooper~~ Peacekeeper who totally drank the Capitol Kool-Aid. He's a cold soldier who believes that people like Capitol people (ie: the wealthy) are inherently better people. Good things come to the good, after all. If your circumstances suck, you clearly deserve it, you dirty rebels.

Okay, so if I'm understanding this correctly, we don't have to have our characters step into one of the rooms, but someone else can step through, enter the Mirrorverse and see our characters' Mirror counterparts there, right?

Also, I didn't mean to grant you access there for a second. Damn hover menu.

The originals will be seeing the Mirror Universe and all its counterparts, and there are bound to be shenanigans while they're there, due to the nature of the Mirror Universe, but the plans are for most to take place with the Mirror counterparts here in the original universe.

Mirror!Gaila

Slave of the Captain of the ISS Enterprise. Vicious, sexual, animalistic and willing to cut anyone's throat who gets too close to the Captain's property. She's unrestrainedly Orion and often performs for the Captain's guests at parties.

Mirror!Pasha

Socialite of the Terran Empire. Apple of Papa's eye and dutiful daughter. Outwardly naive, cute, as sweet as pie and sickeningly so she can be a violent and hot tempered young woman when provoked or when she doesn't get her own way. Basically, ultrabrat.

Mirror!Glinda

Rebel Witch. Went with Elphaba to fight against the wizard. Runaway and fugitive. Very nervous and twitchy around people and not comfortable in crowds of more than two. All but hyperventilates without Elphaba by her side.

Once upon a time there was a episode set on Cordelia's birthday known as Birthday This episode gives some meta on what would have happened if Cordelia never joined the AI team. Why does this matter? Because this meta is exactly what Doyle will be coming from in his mirror self.

Birthday we find out Cordelia was never meant to get the visions thet only passed because Doyle truely loved her when he kissed her. She gets the chance to give them up the past and go back to become a famous actress. Its kind of just another reality. She's famous and she ends up realizing somethings wrong and hunts down the AI team. Angel's chained up in a room muttering incoharently because he lost his mind as Wesley stated "When he watched his only friend Doyle jump to his death after being passed the visions." ....but to pass the visions love and a kiss is needed...

SO! Everyone can enjoy Doyle being all up on the vampire and convinced that Cordelia is a big time actress, Outside of that he's pretty much the same just small changes. I'm going to say he's from a few hours before he died in Hero to just keep him from freaking out over dying for the course of the event.

For a mirror universe is it a straight up alignment switch, or if we play an AU character would their mirror be their canon version?

Okay, I am beyond confused. So if our character is mirror-ed, we aren't playing the real them? What would this possible altered version be?

You would be playing the Mirror Universe counterpart, yes. Mirror Universes, at least going by the Star Trek versions of them (which is where I got the idea from), are usually darker and the people therein seem to be the opposite of their counterparts in the original universe. As for what the possible altered version would be... that's up to you.

Oh gosh, I love mirrorplots. Too bad I've sucked at doing anything lately.

Mirror!Spike would be... well, I guess the version who is NOT a fool for love. More Angelus-y, I guess.

Mirror!Sam would be Satan, essentially. You know, the one who actively courts the merger.

Mirror!Tony would probably have taken over the world.

Will people see or remember what their mirrors do during the plot?

They can see the aftermath of what their Mirror counterparts have done, but they won't have the memories or knowledge of what was done.

They can, of course, be told. 0=D
