Welcome to the ToS Shipping Meme! The rules are simple.

Remember, this is just a fun meme so you can ship things that would NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY in game. Yay for no in-character consequences to bad decisions.

SCENARIOS
1. Stupid Cupid Your characters stumble upon a room in the temple that is dedicated to Berkano, which is the rune of love and new beginnings. Think Midsummer Night's Dream. Your characters may be close friends, strangers, or sworn enemies. Whatever the case is, they are now suddenly and inexplicably in complete and total love. They may or may not be aware that this makes no sense, but they can't help themselves.

2. Some Like It Hot Forget love and new beginnings. Your characters have ACTUALLY stumbled upon a room in the temple that is dedicated to Kenaz, the rune of fire, passion, and sex. There's no stopping you, even if you tried. Luckily, the room is prepared for that, and comes equipped with a bed. Whether or not you guys make it that far across the room is another question.

3. I Can Hear The Bells Your characters are getting married. Maybe it's true love, maybe it's to get out of marrying Tristan, maybe you're being forced into it and this ship is a little dub-con, or maybe it's because you accidentally participated in some Nysgod ritual and weren't aware of its implications. Either way, the wedding is about to happen or just has. How do you feel about that?

4. I Don't Want To Go Your character has been determined to NOT be the one for Tristan. Whether or not they like it, they're being sent home. Do they choose to spend it with a close friend, with the one they love? Or maybe, do they decide to finally tell that person they've always had a crush on just how they feel? You only have one night left, what you do with it is up to you.

5. The First Time Your characters are interested in each other and it's time to do something about it. Either the first date, the first kiss, the first I love you....or some other significant first. Whatever it is, it's definitely time to take that step. So who's going to take the initiative?

6. The Morning After Your characters definitely went at it. Maybe it's the first time, maybe they're cheating on someone, maybe it was out of anger. Whatever the case, for some reason, it was significant and you're going to have to talk about it. Good morning, Starshine! The earth says it's time for some cuddling and/or awkward conversation.

7. Potpourri Have another idea? Pregnancy, proposal, accidental body contact, trapped together, caught in the rain, hurt/comfort, etc? Go for it! Make your own scenarios up and run with them.

Oh dear heart.....

[Bert smiles, pressing his forehead against hers. How well she knows him. He hates to think that they'll be parted, but he knows it could happen. And he's never shied away from hard truths, much as they hurt.]

Those are things you don't have to ask for, love. If'n the worst comes to pass... you've got my word. Had it anyway.

[She leaves her forehead pressed to his, smile somewhat dampened by a few tears that run down her cheek. She only reaches up momentarily to wipe them away, before her hands return back to his chest.]

I'm yours.

No matter what happens, no matter whether I stay or go, no matter whether you find someone new. You need to know that. Right now, I belong to you more than I've ever let myself belong to another person. Every part of me is yours, good and bad and all the stuff between.

[He wipes her tears away. There will likely be a time for tears, but not here and now. This, if nothing else, should be a happy moment.]

Then I'm a blessed man, Cordelia, and the luckiest one to e'er live. I wot I've been yours since I first drew breath. Just took us a while to find each other, that's all.

[Because he does believe in soul mates and all of that, just not in the same way as his peers. ANd he's known, since he first realized he loved her, that Cordelia is his.]

[She doesn't want to believe that. She usually refuses to believe that.

But maybe he's right. Because isn't this what always happens to soulmates? Somehow or another, the universe tears them apart.]

Will you tell me a story?

[She curls up close, tucking herself against them, brushing away a few more stubborn tears.]

Tell me how it would have gone? The rest of our life together, what it would have been like.

We'd have gotten a house. A nice one, with a yard and all that. Room for a garden, and little ones if we ever managed it again.

[He settles in more comfortably, holding her as he talks.]

I'd breed horses. We'd be well off, you and I. Live comfortably. Go out at week's end, dancing and the like. The theater. We'd be well liked, too. Plenty of friends. I wot you'd be some queen of society, setting the trends for the other ladies!

What about when we got older?

[Her hands skim down his chest, his side, his hips, feeling a small thrill of excitement from just being held. And that, yes, that one last time as well. But no rush, or not too much of one. Time enough to talk and what if and make love before she says her goodbyes, puts on her bravest face.]

Would we have still been in love? Would we still excite each other? Or would we be one of those boring old couples who just end up hating each other?

[She knows what answer he'll give, of course, but she still wants to hear it.]

Of course we'd still be in love! Madly. What, you think I'd stop wanting you just because you get old? Nah. And you're going to be one of those women that ages like wine. Finely. And we'll have naught but time for each other.

[He closes his eyes, savoring every touch, every soft little exhalation.]

Yeh'll nag on me, and I'll piss and moan, but we'll still fuck like wildcats when we're through being red at each other.

We'd better. I'd get too bored with someone who agreed with everything I said. I'd just end up walking all over them.

[She buries her nose against his throat, rubbing there like some cuddling cat who's trying to get letter.]

I don't ever want to forget this.

No matter what we said we knew could happen, I never thought I'd have to figure out how to say goodbye. I thought...
