Festival!

So Ming, Kurt, Seth, and Blaine are working on a festival. There is going to be some tournament games, a fashion show, talent show, and a dance.

Kurt has put around the temple sign up sheets to see who is interested in these events and participating in the shows.

I've been talking with Seth's mun and we're thinking maybe sometime at the end of the month will be a good time to run this. I'm wanting some feedback though. I'm looking for OOC/ IC interest, dates that would work well, and anything else that would be useful in this situation.

If IC we can handwave a conversation about it, or we can set up a network thread- however we want to do it.

How does Day 175/176 sound? There could be games going on both days and the fashion show on the first day, talent show the second, and then that evening could be the dance? Or we could add 177 for the dance.

Speaking as a mod, just keep me and Kalz in the loop about when you want to schedule this and if you want to handwave anything with the NPCs.

As a PC, Diana will be all over performing in the talent show. Garmay may want to participate in some of the tournament games, depending on what they are.

Would Diana be interested at all in designing outfits? I know she likes fashion.

Diana can't really sew or draw to save her life. She'll happily model, though.

Chell might participate in the games! Christine will probably watch the fashion show and will be one of the volunteers teaching people how to dance. Both will probably watch the talent show but not participate.

Oh, and I need to get off my butt and see if Christine would be allowed access to a kitchen, because what are festivals without food? She'll bake some things if she's allowed.

And I've gotten mod permission for her to bake, so there'll be a couple pies, couple dozen cupcakes and things. :D

Marcus has already promised to be in the fashion show, and you can probably get Jeremy to do something easily. Ben is just going to come and hang out with his fiance.

As for time frame, I will be gone from Aug 29th to Sept 2nd for DragonCon. It's also Labor Day weekend. If you guys do it on that weekend, I'll have to backtag into everything but if I'm the only one with the conflict, don't worry about me!

Heee!! Martha would be happy to tell stories. I should add, I'm time traveling this upcoming weekend, but then, aside from work, I'm free until the first full weekend of September. (More time travel)

As for my timeline, set it up whenever and I"ll tag how I can. Basically teh way my reenactments are set up is Reenactment next weekend, off two, then on one off one on one off one.... All sorts of crazy!

I'm not sure what Vector could do, but he offered his assistance to Ming, and she pointed him in the direction to whomever was doing the planning. Because he is devoted to Ming, he will keep his word and do whatever he can to help.

As for Haralel - she's pretty multi-talented. She can help decorate as well as entertain. She can sing, dance and play instruments.

He could probably help Seth with setting up the tournament games?

And Haralel sounds perfect! She can help decorate for the fashion show and dance and then maybe perform in the talent show?

That could work! Depending on what the events are, he might participate. He can also do security detail if that sort of thing is needed! :D

And that sounds good for Haralel too! I can imagine she'd love to dip her fingers into everything like that haha!

This is great. I haven't gotten to play with either of your characters yet. If you feel up to it, I have an open log that Kurt could talk to them about festival ideas. Or we can handwave some things. Whatever your interest/ time available is.

Woops I must have missed the in-character planning post! Where is that? I can have both Haralel and Vector respond to it.

Oh there wasn't one LOL.. I just have him hanging out and I know Seth was directed to Kurt so maybe they were too? We could do a real IC planning post though. That might be better

That sounds like a cool idea. Than all the characters can hang out and plan :D I'm cool for either it happening as a log or the network. :)
