Welcome to the ToS Shipping Meme! The rules are simple.
1. Post your character/preferences.
2. Reply to other characters with one of the following scenarios

Remember, this is just a fun meme so you can ship things that would NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY in game. Yay for no in-character consequences to bad decisions.
SCENARIOS
1. Stupid Cupid Your characters stumble upon a room in the temple that is dedicated to Berkano, which is the rune of love and new beginnings. Think Midsummer Night's Dream. Your characters may be close friends, strangers, or sworn enemies. Whatever the case is, they are now suddenly and inexplicably in complete and total love. They may or may not be aware that this makes no sense, but they can't help themselves.
2. Some Like It Hot Forget love and new beginnings. Your characters have ACTUALLY stumbled upon a room in the temple that is dedicated to Kenaz, the rune of fire, passion, and sex. There's no stopping you, even if you tried. Luckily, the room is prepared for that, and comes equipped with a bed. Whether or not you guys make it that far across the room is another question.
3. I Can Hear The Bells Your characters are getting married. Maybe it's true love, maybe it's to get out of marrying Tristan, maybe you're being forced into it and this ship is a little dub-con, or maybe it's because you accidentally participated in some Nysgod ritual and weren't aware of its implications. Either way, the wedding is about to happen or just has. How do you feel about that?
4. I Don't Want To Go Your character has been determined to NOT be the one for Tristan. Whether or not they like it, they're being sent home. Do they choose to spend it with a close friend, with the one they love? Or maybe, do they decide to finally tell that person they've always had a crush on just how they feel? You only have one night left, what you do with it is up to you.
5. The First Time Your characters are interested in each other and it's time to do something about it. Either the first date, the first kiss, the first I love you....or some other significant first. Whatever it is, it's definitely time to take that step. So who's going to take the initiative?
6. The Morning After Your characters definitely went at it. Maybe it's the first time, maybe they're cheating on someone, maybe it was out of anger. Whatever the case, for some reason, it was significant and you're going to have to talk about it. Good morning, Starshine! The earth says it's time for some cuddling and/or awkward conversation.
7. Potpourri Have another idea? Pregnancy, proposal, accidental body contact, trapped together, caught in the rain, hurt/comfort, etc? Go for it! Make your own scenarios up and run with them.

[The words were memorized with an obvious sense of pride, even though Sulu ducks her head sheepishly when she trails off.

I see the parallels in it as you say it. There was a time I knew the whole thing by heart. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
[ Then he sighed.] And that is where things get fuzzy sadly. Though I must confess I am much more interested in your history then the history I lived through.

It is possible, if my world heads that way. There has been tales for many years of an end of days coming. At least for us kindred. I don't know how much I believe in it but they are pretty convinced.
[ He spun the umbrella above them a moment, not uncovering them just making the water on it fly all directions.]
The Masquerade is the rules we have to live by, like the name implies its much like a masquerade party if your time still has those.... umm. An easy way to explain. [ He smiled then looking down at her.] We pretend we are human still. We are not to let humans know what we are or to make too much of a wave our inner wars even have to been kept in silence so not to alarm the normal people of our exsistance. To break the masquerade is to bring the royalty down on you and certain true death follows to any Kindred who fails to keep up their play.
Here I see no point in it, this place does not allow for secrets such as mine.

Oh, I see. [In some ways it reminded her of the prime directive. Control of access to information for the benefit of those left out of the loop.] ..I think you're right about a place like this having it's own set of rules though. Technically, I should have cleared it with Jane, to see how much we can go around telling people about Starfleet. In our universe, we have code of conduct to follow.
[And then she laughs at the twist of the umbrella, amused and pleased.] ..now I feel like jumping into the puddles, I haven't done that since I was a kid.

I doubt Jane cares if you tell me. She's told me quite a bit herself, however she knows that I am not one to share others secrets. Think of me as a reverse pope, you can tell me your sins and no one knows. However I can not offer salvation, thus the reverse pope. I think I would look pretty awesome in the popes outfit though.
[ Blood would be hard to get out.] Why not? If you haev the urge, do it. Never hold back, that leaves room for doubt. Free yourself Miss Sulu.

I never have doubts. [While that might be a small exaggeration. Sulu was serious, even as she smiled and slipped her arm from his... she had one particular puddle in mind, but she wouldn't be happy just running into it. No. There was a bit of showmanship in the way that Sulu sprang forward and began a cartwheel, then a hand spring, landing square in the puddle and laughing as the splash finished soaking her through.]

A woman after my own heart. [ He teased as she slipped her arm free and put on the show. Dorian let the umbrella fall so he could clap for her.] That was bloody brilliant!
[ He eyed the puddle a moment before making his way over, as long as it didn't cover his boot completely he'd be okay. He moved two step back before jumping both of those big black boots landing in the water splashing it up he scrunched his face a bit as the water hit him.]

[ He was half joking, but mostly serious. Stepping up and the other hand moved to her waist he smiled.]

[Sulu set her free hand on his shoulder, beginning to hum something with a simple beat. She was no professional singer, or even close (like Uhura) but she had a strong voice and a natural sense of timing.]

Midnight carriage chases, balls of the aristocrats, meeting the poets and writers of their day. And for myself watching blues evolve and seeing the world change. I watched a nation grow, then nearly split and heal again. I watched slavery be abolished a great feat for the lives of hundreds upon thousands of innocent boys. If you ask me, the world grew dull with television. Who writes letters anymore? Poetry is lost.

If the library has so many different books from other universes, maybe they're somewhere on the shelves waiting to be read.
[For a brief moment, a pang of homesickness hit her heart. Not for the ship or crew she loved so dearly. But for a family, a father that had been her closest ally for so many years. The man that she adored so much she tried to emulate in versatility.]

He could still very much spin a woman. He had more then enough skill he just worried with the water that he would risk tripping her still after her words were spoke he moved to lead her into the spin.]
I shall have to look into that then, I am always interested in such works of art. It was a dying skill in my world at least. Everyone more concerned about writing and singing of baser desires with no time for poetics.
