Don't be smart with me. You're the one who wants something. [A move she would not have pulled back home. But they aren't home anymore, and automatically, that levels the playing field.]

[He wraps himself around her, lips tugging gently at her earlobe, fingers stroking her waist.]

Are you telling me there's nothing you want?

[And yes, there is a bit of a gleam in her eyes here. She is playing with him, and she's having fun doing so.]

[Pepper, Tony thinks, is hot. This is not a new fact, but it's significantly more urgent at the moment than usual. He thinks maybe she won't reject him now if he tries to kiss her. That seems like an amazing idea. He's a genius, after all. He licks his way up to her jaw, to find her lips.]

[Again, she holds him out at arm's length. She is driving this interaction, and he doesn't seem to be realizing that just yet.

Mr. Stark, did I say you could kiss me?

[He's blinking at her again. Is this another trick question?]

I didn't think you had.

[She leans in, fingers once against twisting up in his hair.]

[Okay, so it doesn't hurt that much but it's the principle of the thing.

Which is actually getting him pretty hot, to be honest. He swallows.]

Um. Ms. Potts, may I kiss you?

[Better. See, now? Was that really so hard?]

You may kiss me, Mr. Stark. [She releases him, and closes her eyes.]

[It was, kind of. Yes. But maybe it's worth it? He'll see. For one thing, no matter how demanding she's being, he still gets a kiss. Which is what he wants anyway. So... still wins. Right?

He leans forward again and kisses her, eyes drifting shut as well, before he can talk himself out of it.]

[She kisses back, warm and receiving. Her hand remains in his cheek, though, turning his head ever so slightly as she means into the kiss--just enough to remind him who is leading this.]
