He was getting concerned about her. She seemed to not be handling this very well, which was understandable.
"Maybe we should find someone else to deal with this."
no subject
Kinda.
Still, she gave him an apologetic, little nod. "I don't know why I asked that, I mean, obviously, it's not your body because you just came up here and saw it and, I mean, I don't know you that well, but you don't seem like the type of person who would be interested in a dead body, which isn't to say that I think you lack the intelligence to examine a cadaver or anything, but just that the type of person you usually see around dead bodies, apart from healers or doctors or whatever term you want to use, would be psychotic murderers or something and I would never peg you as a murderer because you seem kinda sane really..."
She paused, catching her breath.
"Sorry. I babble."
no subject
"It's okay," he said. "I'm not offended. I mean, you've got to ask, right? I'm a reporter, so I tend to ask a lot of questions, too. I just thought, maybe, there was someone we could ask who'd know more."

She looked down at the body.
Well. Someone had to do it.
Kneeling down, her boney knees cracking, Casey grabbed hold of the unfortunate victim's shirt and started trying to roll him, her, or it over.
He, she, or it was a little bit too heavy.
no subject
He didn't know who, to be honest. But there had to be someone who'd care about a dead body.
no subject
Well, at least now they knew it was male. It had a hairy back.
Then again, Casey was sure there were races where the females had hairy backs too.

If she was going to move it, he'd better help. Even if this was a matter better dealt with by... Okay, what police? Clark leaned down and pulled the body over gently.
no subject
She tilted her head to the right.
Then she looked up at the journalist-person.
"Anyone you know?" she asked.
