01 - lazy day

It so happened that both Dorian and Sarah Jane had a day off together from work (that is, if Dorian ever showed up, honestly). Sarah Jane had been working far too hard picking up the slack from others and was 'up to here' after it all.

Today, she snuck through the corridors, wearing perhaps not the most flattering of clothes, but comfortable enough as she made it to his room. She knocked on his door quietly, as her hands were rather occupied with a thermos, a blanket, and a record she had found for them to listen to.

[Draco's never really seen this kind of playground. Well. He's seen them, sure, but he's never played on the things. And why exactly the Nysgods have suddenly given them a playground in one of the parks is beyond him, but honestly? He's going to make the most of it.

[In Devi's hand, a pair of small stones were rattled around as she gestured to the hopscotch board drawn out on the flagstones. Her smile was cheeky, at best.]

You toss the stone and hop up, stopping to pick up the stone and skipping the square it's in. One hop per single block, the pair you can stand out in. A foot per box, if that's easier. Call it an exercise in hand eye coordination and balance if you want.

[Rain. She knew how it formed, why it rained, how it sounded as it hit the hull of her other form. Yet never once has she felt it against her skin. It was supposed to be different from a shower somehow and it wasn't until now that she could say how. The water wasn't hot, it wasn't even warm. It's chilly against her skin but she doesn't care. Tilting her head back she can stare up and up at the sky, the endless blue hidden by the darkened clouds.

Every part of her is soaked through, her feet bare as she splashes the collected rain and she laughs. Since becoming human this is the first time the Enterprise has felt so free. She spins once, twice before spotting Jim. Without hesitation the ship-turned-human crosses over to him, taking his hand in hers and tugging him out into the rain.]

06 - slow dancing

If there was a lack of anything here in Gebo, it certainly wasn't parties. Dorian had invited her to the latest one, but then he was often the social butterfly, leaving Sarah Jane a moment to say hello to another friend of his.

Honestly, Sarah didn't mind, not when she saw a familiar tall man fluttering about the snack table. "Doctor!"

She dashed over to him, greeting him with a large smile, "I'm really happy to see you've come out. You've kept yourself far too busy, honestly!" Her hands were on her hips, but it definitely didn't reflect in her facial expression.

She had been attracted to him before. They could both remember how badly that had failed. Eventually, the relationship had reverted back to friendship. Moving to Gebo had distracted them, but allowed them a chance to work on that friendship. But her feelings hadn't changed, no matter how much she wanted to pretend otherwise.

Even now, at the party she could feel her cheeks warmed as she smiled at him across the way.

Everything was a game to them. Playing hide and seek in the context of a universal playground. What mattered most of all, that the wins and losses continued on. Though if you asked what the current score was, that might not be so easily agreed upon. Other games too; there were so many to choose from.

The last party involved a pool, this one was more of a ball. And so Martha was in one of the lovely skirts Dorian insisted on bringing her. She had arrived without a date as was usual for her. It didn't bother her too much. She was able to talk to everyone then without having to worry about one person. Or she could hold up a wall if she preferred. Today she was feeling more like holding up a wall. She found a spot next to Arthur.

The rain was falling hard from the sky, and Dorian didn't even care. Even if it was a park he was feeling rain and it was relaxing and wonderful. True his white suit shirt was transparent by now, he didn't care he swayed to music in his head without a care for anything around him.

The rain was relaxing.

He was cold and tired and just pathetic looking with the tired lines forming under his eyes. Dorian knocked on Glinda's door with his heated blanket around himself in just his track pants. Maybe he would be turned away but he just wanted to snuggle someone warm and he had a feeling she was warm.
