On Having Done Things

I did a...thing. And here it is.
So, yeah.
Actually, I think I ought to be congratulated for having decided not to use the usernamein_the_deep after all. I will accept your congratulations here, so long as you know that YOU COULD HAVE HAD IT ALL: ROLAND | in_the_deep

Actually, that is not all. I've got a note or two:
Before putting in this app, before even beginning to write this app (which you can read in all its tl;dr glory here), I contacted a mod about the inherent, um, challenges present in playing what amounts to two halves of a pair of canon enemies. Having gotten the modly go-ahead and fully aware of my obvious playercesting (I admit to it openly here and now), I decided that, having taken Flagg from very late in book!canon and taking Roland from fairly early in comic!canon, the two would know of each other and even hate enough other, but would not be likely to actually have an open confrontation--given their respective mindsets and their motivations in their particular time points. Like, seriously guys, I do not plan to have them talk at all. In fact, I plan to avoid having them encounter each other at all. Roland's got his friends to worry about and there's more civil war to fight (yay?) and he doesn't realize the significance that Flagg/Marten/Walter/The Man In Black actually holds yet. Meanwhile, Flagg's inclined to strike around his enemies and hurt them indirectly and he's also going to be doing his usual power-grab stuff. So they're still enemies, just not going to be fighting directly.
However, the minute, the second, the nanosecond, this gets awkward and weird, or anyone else comes along with an interest in playing Roland, I will absolutely reconsider this arrangement and potentially change my decision about doing this. Once I remember where all the settings for anon permission and screened comments are, I'll be setting up an HMD/concrit post if you ever ever ever feel the need to use it to say that this is weird, wrong, or awkward. I just...got pinged, as they say here in RPworldland, and really thought it would be cool to have the Big Damn Hero come hang out with his canon-mates and be his Big Damn Hero self. It just seems like it'll be something good to add to the game, especially given what the direction of a metaplot seems to be at the moment. Know that I'm going to do my best to play in a balanced and careful way, but please feel free to contact me any time if you feel the need.
