Canon Update

For anyone who has been paying attention to Martha logs, you may be aware that she is not doing well. All my plans to get her back to normal have fallen through for one reason or another, so I am canon updating her. On day 239, she is out with Dorian and will get struck by lightning, sending her into a coma.

On day 240, she'll be comatose and all the lovely changes will happen.

On day 241, she'll awaken a new person. Information on the changes is here. Basically, I'm moving her forward to just before the end of season 4. She's in New York, happier than she's been, more mentally stable, and more social. She'll still have nightmares, but they're easier to handle now.

As for her memories, she'll still remember here and Arkham, but they will be fuzzy. She may need to talk to your character again before she really remembers what's happening.

SO FUNNY THING I started reading the next book in the InCryptid series and found that I severely underestimated the amount of damage done to Sarah by her final saving act at her current canon point, to the point where as she is right now, she would be practically unplayable. This, obviously, is a problem. That is why I talked to our lovely mods, and they gave me permission to retcon Sarah's current canonpoint, and change it to an earlier one to help keep her playability and not have me be OOC. So, here's what's happening.

I'm currently taking her back to the first book in the series: Discount Armageddon. Instead of just helping save Verity from the Covenant of St. George and learning what happens if someone's using an anti-telepathy charm, Sarah is coming from just helping save Verity from a murderous snake cult that was trying to wake up a dragon. She saved her first dragon, made a new chess buddy, and made sure her cousin made it out alive as it is her purpose in life.

This means she is not aware of: the main effects of anti-telepathy charms, Dominic being more of an ally than a nebulous entity, Verity being tortured by the Covenant and a number of other events that happened in Book 2, as well as being a little more free with her telepathic abilities, due to not having gone overboard with them yet. However, the limitations placed on her by the game will still be in place, and I will not do anything without your permission so PLEASE PLEASE drop by her PERMISSION POST to get an idea of her abilities and such.

Since the only character she mentioned canon-point relevant information to so far is Angel and Angel is no longer in the game, this shouldn't effect what other characters have learned about her at this point. I'm planning on just sort of handwaving it always having been this way and moving on but if you have any questions, please let me know!
