Hello, players.

Today marks the second anniversary of our "little game that could." As such, it's important to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for agreeing to come play in our sandbox. What people remark about TOS, again and again, is that what makes it special is the player base. Each and every one of you has been a powerful force contributing to the game and it's community.

Thank you.

Thank you for sticking with us when things got rough.

Thank you for your trust and friendship.

Thank you for being the wonderful and unique people that you are.

And now, to avoid being overly saccharine, here is a special anniversary gift. As some of you know, custom 2048 games are making the rounds. So here's one for the Throne of Shadows NPCs.

Game on.

Unfortunately, it looks like I promised more than I could deliver for this event - I was planning on not starting my hiatus until it was over, but getting costumes finished for next week's con is eating up the time I would normally use to tag.

I know it's asking a lot, but if people wouldn't mind handwaving certain things about the storm... mostly so that Bowtie won't be assumed to have been sitting around idle, that would help immensely in getting me back in the game after next weekend.

The long and short of it: Bowtie and Xeno are hiatus'ed from now until April 8th.

Hey, guys. Leon, here.

This isn't a new character, as such, but as of Day 245, the Doc is going to go through some changes.

Early in Voyager's trip, the Doctor suffered from a critical cascade memory failure, causing him to lose most of his functions. The ship comes with it's own troubleshooter, the Jupiter Station Diagnostic Program Alpha-11, which comes with it's own version of Dr. Lewis Zimmerman.

In order to save the EMH's matrix, and prevent from doing a complete reboot of his program, the A-11's matrix, which was identical to the EMH's, was grafted onto the Doc's in order to extend his memory capacity and to stop him decompiling himself.

"Okay, cool story, bro, but what does this all mean?"

On day 245, a bolt of lightning is going to strike the Doc's Mobile Emitter. Whilst these bolts are normally reserved for canon updates, I've got permission to allow it to mess with the Doc's program. He will turn into the A-11 for an indetermined period of time, as the bolt brought the program's subroutines to the surface.

His canon point will be the end of VOY 03x04 - "The Swarm."

Replies will come from the journal [personal profile] a_11. More information on the A-11 is found here on his Memory Alpha page, as well as information on Dr. Zimmerman here.

Plotting and stuff comes below, if you want!
