Osu, everyone! It's Kage here, your resident blonde flirt Blaine player with a fun event for you! It seems like people were interested in a game-wide event of laser tag, so this post is for the official rules and mechanics! Blaine will make an IC post later on today or tomorrow and the event will be set on Day 362 which is next Tuesday!
The game will be in the holodeck and the arena where players will be looks like a mash-up of this and this. It is dark, there are ramps and places to hide in or behind, and also a little place that is lit up for people to rest or get away if they feel like taking a break. That area also has monitors so people can watch what is going on.Make bets.
There will be two modes of play: regular and advanced; the only difference being in the vest that the player is wearing. The regular mode vests light up and vibrate a little whenever you get hit. You can tell if it was from the front of the back by which part vibrates. In advanced mode, the vests are labeled with a large letter 'A' on the front. When you get hit, it vibrates but also gives you an unpleasant shock. Like you were running across the carpet for five minutes in your socks and then touched a doorknob. It isn't anything serious, and the effect has been toned down from what it normally would be in Blaine's world. He will be vaguely disappointed.
ICly, Blaine will ask that no one use their powers to help them or else the regular humans won't have as much fun. If you want a super powered game with crazy speed and tricks he can set up another of the holodecks for that purpose if anyone was interested, but otherwise there is just the one arena.
And that's it! Have fun!
