Hello! This is Bree, bringing in her third character, one Len "Bones" McCoy. HUZZAH! Starfleet officer, medical doctor, and professional grump. Her canon point is Star Trek: Into Darkness, before Jane woke up after the whole injecting her with Khan's blood to not be dead thing. And, depending on what the mods say, she might be bringing that tribble with her. Beyond excited to bring her in to join the rest of her crew. And the original crew, too. Spock being a guy is going to be so weird for her, you guys. You have no idea.

Hello all, Anne here with my second character. This is Lady Charlotte Howard, Duchess of Green Park and Queen of the Westminster Hive. She was an OC I created for the game Ad Obscura over on IJ, but the game died almost as soon as it got started. I wanted to actually play her after the time I invested in creating her, so I decided to app her here!

Behind a cut because this got a tad TL;DR )

So yes, this is Charlotte, and I'm stoked to actually get to play her somewhere! :D

With the dawn of Day 219, the nightmares have stopped. The night was entirely peaceful. Well, not entirely. All through the night, the Nysgods could be heard in the streets and tunnels and hallways, shouting and looking for loved ones. There were children crying. Wounded Nysgods unable to get themselves inside. In the end, it seems, the people of Gebo fared far worse than most of the candidates. Not surprising, considering the fact that none of them have ever had to fight.

In the morning, the network returns to normal. The calm voice of Edwin, head of the Seers' Guild, informs everyone in the city that they are aware of the situation and help is on the way. Within seconds, Nysgods--wearing matching uniforms that mark them as Seers--arrive, slipping in through the shadows. The Seers begin to shepherd families together, to see to the wounded, and to assess the damage.

Over the course of the next few days, the Seers and the citizens of Gebo will begin repairing the damage to the city. And it's substantial. Although the outer structure is sound, much of the manufacturing equipment is broken and will need to be repaired before work can resume. The citizens of Gebo are confident everyone can get back on the job by Day 225. And this thought seems to bring a measure of joy to the wounded, the crying children, the despairing mates.

What follows is an FAQ to answer some of the major questions that will be arising.

What caused the nightmares?
That's something the Seers really want to know. Those not repairing the damage or seeing to the wounded will be standing motionless in the middle of hallways and warehouses. They'll appear to be doing nothing, though they might give some funny looks to the characters who had the original nightmares.

The people of Gebo are whispering to one another. Most of them seem to think it was Hesiod's forces, or else Quinn. A very small group of older men are wringing their hands as they whisper the word "Polarians."

For now, no one seems to know what caused the events.

My character wants to talk to one of the Seers. What happens?
The Seers are all very polite, but brusque. They'll tell your character that they don't know what caused the catastrophe, but it's being investigated.

My character has medical skills. Can they help with the wounded?
The Seers and healers will gladly accept any help offered. By and large, mortal characters will be asked to help with simple tasks, like fetching equipment and keeping the injured children calm.

My character was injured in the event. Can they be fixed up?
Yes. You can either handwave having a Nysgod healer repair the damage, or you can plot with one of our medical PCs to be patched up the old-fashioned way.

Was anyone killed in the event?
No. It doesn't appear so. And all injuries are being treated exceptionally well. Nysgods don't take long to heal.

My character enjoys fixing things. Can they help repair the damage?
Absolutely. Any characters who want to help out will be assigned to do repair work on technology similar to what would be found in their native worlds.

My character wants to sabotage repair efforts. Can they do that?
Absolutely not. Seers are stationed everywhere and they're reading minds. These boys are stronger than the average Nysgod. Anyone they detect with mischief on their mind will be confined to the barracks for the remainder of the repair efforts.

What are the named NPCs up to over the next few days?
Casey and Adriana will be checking in on the candidates, to make sure everyone is all right.

Insa will be helping with the wounded.

Edwin will be directing the Seers. Every now and then, Jaan and Blake can be seen standing with him, but they come and go quite a bit.

Skokan will occasionally be seen around town. He seems determined to speak with every single Seer that came down. They'll speak in hushed whispers for a few moments, then Skokan will move on to the next one.

What if my character wants to research any precedent for this event?
There isn't much to be found in the library. It is known that Nysgods can read and even manipulate dreams, but this seems to be an entirely new scale of terror.

Anyone looking up the word "Polarians" will only find star charts. How odd.

I have a question you haven't answered here. What do?
Please leave any unanswered questions on this post. We'd like everyone to be able to see each other's questions and the answers, to hopefully avoid duplicates!

Hi guys, really sorry to do this, especially so soon after joining. I am a massive massive flake. I figured since this was gonna be my only 'proper' game I'd have time, but it looks like I won't after all - I barely have time to get online most days and by the time I do my brain does not function well enough to write more than one or two tags of any kind of quality, let alone length. And that's really not fair in a game like this. I don't think I actually got involved in anything major, plot-wise, but if there's anything you want to handwave please let me know :( Again, really sorry.

So I'm trying to work out something for Joan, but to do that I need some medical personnel!  Any characters out there in the medical field that have access to pain meds?  Joan needs to not quite steal, but con her way into some.
